I got 6 of these retail and it was enough for me. Pulled a number of the 4 qbs including a bronze stroud and also a richardson patch. One auto was a rookie lineman but it sold already.

You know how people say “when pigs fly” Well I say “when you pull a good card from contenders” 😂😂😂 but seriously would still take the giveaway I’m tired of opening blasters
Contenders is ridiculously tough to make your money back normally, and now without many of the top autos the set is straight garbage
Hands down contenders is the worst retail release. Panini really needs to do something with these at least improve the inserts. Years ago the inserts actually very nice and were foil cards.

I haven’t opened Contenders in a few years. Never have I gotten a good box. I go after the singles I want. And you’d think the hobby ones would have as much or more value as retail. Thanks for sharing!!

I opened 10 retail blasters.....8 patches, 2 autos, 1 numbered to /499 and 1 License To Dominate

Straight up a piece of fabric they probably bought at TJ Maxx and have nothing to do with football. That change will be a part of their demise (with licensing being the bigger issue obviously. But quality is a HUGE problem with panini)

I just bought packs at target and got like 4-5 game tickets in each back lol
Hate that you went in with 6 boxes! I bought $25 (three packs and two larger sized packs) and got 90% of the base set.
I pulled three Rookie cards that totaled about $21 value so I got the money's worth, just with those few.
After going hard on the NBa hoops for 2024, I'm pretty sad there's no color variations.
It's maybe like two autos per case.. and they're pretty much just undrafted rookies... They saved the better names for hobby, the Richardson, Gibbs, flowers, Addison, Robinson, Laporta, etc ...

I have opened 3 blasters of the normal blaster the first one I got a auto. In my second box it was the best of the 3 I got a CJ stroud green laser, CJ base, Bryce young base, a AR patch. In the 3rd box I got a CJ red base, a Bryce young base, and Paris Johnston auto. One of my favorite products this year ❤❤

I like the Contenders, have a few that I got from a collection. My brother opened 4 retail blasters, no Auto, but saw some Red, like Peyton Manning, Deion Sanders like the one you got. I will try to pick up a box, maybe from the WOW website that you mentioned if they’re still in stock.

Honestly never opened a huge box before the most expensive box I’ve opened was $100 prism which sucked so I would be grateful if I could get the giveaway
I really don't see a difference in the Retail and Hobby blasters besides the parallel and the cost per box. I would almost rather buy a Mega box for $50. You get 1 Auto & 2 Mem cards.
I consider myself lucky that I bought one blaster and hit a Kenny McIntosh rookie ticket auto green variation and a Christian Watson #/499. I won’t be buying any more contenders this year 😂

I just opened 2 mega boxes (retail) and those are great I opened 2 boxes(just finished). 3 numbered cards including a chase brown(not a big name) rpa /25 each box has 2 mem 1 auto maybe them next ?
Thats the 1st case hit Ive seen so far and while rookie QBs aren't "rare", I have not seen a ton of CJs in them so far.
Have seen just a couple autos so far too.
I don't get the "hobby" blaster BS. To me, a blaster will NEVER be a hobby box.
From what I see here, certainly not worth the upcgarge.
Nice they added rookies, but they need to ad a case hit or something else to chase.
People knock Contenders, but if they hit the right rookie auto, they'd change their mind VERY quickly, wouldn't they?

Thanks for opening these so I don't have to. Sadly, from past years experience, this is pretty much what I expected. I might pick one up if it was $10, but not much more than that.
Lines blurred between hobby and retail since pandemic when lcs started selling retail blasters. The difference was different inserts back in the 90s and access to different products. Internet eliminated access, everybodys a hobbyists now. There was still the perk of bigger hits/different hits. It’s a brilliant marketing campaign on paninis part releasing a ‘hobby blaster’ of junk. People will bite because of fake potential ( based on this video). For a numbered card not to be seen in the hobby version is an insult to collectors , yet they will bite nonetheless. Wait til next year and they might juice ‘hobby blasters’. My opinion is based solely on this video and the fact I know panini is panini. Not sure but I hope these sell for the same price
Will older cards from 90s, and early 2000s, get more expensive, in 10 yrs. with so many new yearly packs, and players. What will the hobby be like, in 5 or 10 yrs
Why am I always disappointed when you do an nfl break? An NBA break happens, I get happy, then disappointed again..

Contenders retail has always been straight junk... and it'd be hard to argue with someone saying hobby is straight junk as well.

Why is it so difficult for companies to package their cards with the same orientation? This card is right, the next card is upside down, then normal, then upside down...ahhhhhh.
Well I hope hobby price will be at $200 only autograph I saw on the checklist that worth more is Aaron Rodgers and Anthony Richardson. No good autos no reason to buy it. I have not bought hobby in 2 years
Contenders isn't worth it ripping retail! Also when the top Rookie QB's don't sign the product all the way around needs help bigtime to be worth it!

I try to not say negative stuff, but hobby blasters is an incredibly stupid idea. Just a way to make people that cant afford to pay massively inflated prices of hobby feel like they're ripping something better than retail
Contenders has never been visually stunning. Data driven which steals from the overall esthetic of featuring athletes in their element. Mostly frame, then words and numbers, then blocks of solid color, then the featured athlete.
How come you dont do any hockey cards. You should go for the Connor Bedard 1of1 upper deck series 2 1 million bounty on that card.. it would be nice to see you open those cards

Contenders is all about the one card Autos. Missing the big names ,hope the Vet checklist makes up for that.
