- On June 4, 1974 the Texas Rangers and Cleveland Indians tried to play a baseball game. They were not entirely successful.

One thing that you left out was the effect of Cleveland Sports Talk radio on the riot. In the days leading up to June 4, talk show hosts such as Pete Franklin fueled the tension by egging on listeners to take what the Rangers did the previous week as incentive to fight back when Texas came to town.

One question: Ingoing beer means outgoing piss. Where did all that urine go? It is well known that Cleveland Stadium had inadequate restrooms.
