- वास्तु शास्त्र के अनुसार घर में केवल एक ही गणेश होने चाहिए । अगर दो गणेश होंगे तो आदमी फ़ैसला नहीं कर पायेगा । क्योंकि ऐसा होने से जीवन में दोहरेपन आ जाता है ।
इतना समझे कि दूर अनदेशी होते हैं गणेश, ऐसा कोई व्यक्ति नहीं हुआ होगा जिसके हाथी के जैसा सिर लगा हो, एक सूंड, दो दांत हो । हाथी का सिर जोकि सबसे बड़ा सिर है और उनकी सूंड भी जो दूर से सूंघने की क्षमता रखती है। इतना समझे कि गणेश प्रतीक है बौद्ध का ।
जब आपको नए विचार चाहिए हो, नए अंतर्दृष्टि चाहिए हो, नई सोच चाहिए हो । जब ज़िन्दगी में कोई परेशानी सामने आए और आपको अपने विचार का दायरा बड़ा करने की ज़रूरत लगे, तब गणेश जी आपको एक ताक़त देते हैं, आपमें एक यक़ीन-विशवास पैदा करते हैं।
जो ज्ञान आपके पास हो वो कोई फ़ैसला लेने के लिए कम पड़ रहा हो तो उस समय में यदि उत्तर-पूर्व में गणेश जी लगा दिए जाए तो उससे आपके सोचने-समझने का दायरा बढ़ जाता है । वो आपको दूर अनदेशी दे देते हैं।

According to Vastu Shastra, there should be only one idol of Lord Ganesha at home. If there are two idols or photos of Ganesha in your house, then you can find it difficult to take a decision. You develop a dual nature. Actually, if you search for the Nervous System in Google, you will come across a diagram of the Nervous System that resembles exactly like that of the structure of Lord Ganesha. The fact is that Lord Ganesha’s head of an Elephant symbolises the biggest head or the head with the maximum intellect in it, and the long trunk indicates that He is a great visualizer and a person with great insights! Therefore, these are symbols or indicators. In short, Lord Ganesha is the symbol of Intellect & Insights. So, if you place the idol of Ganesha in the North-East zone of your house, it broadens your Intellect, Vision and Clarity of Mind, and enables you to think big! You become Insightful. The centre of future speculation & the financial capital of India is Mumbai; and this is also the place from where the entire speculative market of India is governed. Now, the most famous & ancient temple of Lord Ganesha, (the Siddhi Vinayak Mandir) is also located here in Mumbai. So, what does this signify? In fact, the temple was built first, and then of course, the entire city of Mumbai came into existence which is considered to be one of biggest commercial cities of the world! Therefore, the symbol of Lord Ganesha is very powerful, and one must be careful in placing it in the right vastu direction/zone to get the desired results.
