Warp Text To 3D Sphere Shape In Adobe Illustrator - Graphic Design Tutorial

I have the newer version of Illustrator where you have to go in through the Effect menu > 3D and Materials > 3D (Classic) to get to a Map Art button. Only problem is, once the window comes up, I click the "Map Art" button, and when I do, the Map Art window never opens with the mesh upon which I could then lay the symbol and start resizing it and moving it around. The Map Art window simply doesn't open. Any idea about this?

hey! i'm maybe a little late, but the way to do it in newer versions is to user the 3D (Classic) Effect (Effect menu> 3D & Materials > 3D (Classic)).

With the newest version of illustrator the 3D revolve window is updated, i cant seem to find the map art button anywhere

You can find the option in Effect > 3D and Materials > 3D (Classic)

Go to 3d and Materials window, then click on the Materials tab, then graphics > your graphics, and you can select your symbol to be placed on your shape.
