OK nice to see that or brother from UK like to see or Navy visiting your port but, you don't have the info about this submarine right, the SSN-778 USS New Hampshire, Ceremonial ship launch was in June 2008 and Commissioned in October 2008, she is a Virginia-class attack submarine, her speed is 46 km/h (25 knots ) and she can go at depth of 244m ( 800 ft ) that is what it is said to the public but you can be sure the real speed and depth is classified. Weapons 12 vertical launch BGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missile with different warhead Conventional 1,000 pounds high explosive or Nuclear warhead W80 but i think the W80 is not in service anymore and was replaced by the thermonuclear warhead W84 ranging from 0.5 kiloton up to 150 kilotons, imagine this the bomb dropped on Hiroshima ( Japan )was a ( 15 kilotons atomic bomb called LITTLE BOY, this was not a thermonuclear bomb ) and the one that was dropped on Nagasaki ( Japan ) was a ( 21 kilotons atomic bomb called FAT MAN, this was not a thermonuclear bomb ). Just imagine this what kind of destruction can do a BGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missile with a thermonuclear warhead W84 ranging from 0.5 kiloton up to 150 kilotons. That submarine can destroy a small country by itself ( THAT IS TOTALLY CRAZY ) . The US Navy is going or did retire or replace the nuclear Tomahawk Cruise Missile, i am not a 100% sure about it. The Tomahawk Cruise Missile replacement is going to be a Lockheed Martin LRASM, but again i am not sure a 100 % about this. HERE are some link on the info about the retirement or the replacement of the Tomahawk Cruise Missile. Wonkabar007 It's interesting you say that because I just looked up an article on Australia's submarine fleet: we're spending a lot of money on them because apparently all our Asian neighbours are too...
Dude who owns this vid... New Hampshire was commissioned in 2008. Your way off on the "just entered service in 2014" comment. She does have some cool toys tho :)
It's a Virginia class attack sub and is not as large as the Cold War era nuclear missle subs at 377 ft & 7800 tons, although the Block V version being built now is 460 ft & 10,800 tons. The largest US sub is the Ohio class which is 560 ft long and displaces 18,750 tons submerged. Each Ohio class sub carries 24 Trident missles, each of which have 8 separate nuclear warheads that can be targeted individually. There are 18 Ohio class subs still in service, although 4 of them have been retrofitted as attack (non-nuke) subs. So if an Ohio class sub comes into Portsmouth, rest assured she'll look significantly larger. :)
proof that the brits are the best ally that one could ever have.
Seen a bumper sticker that said, "There are only two types of ships; submarines, and targets."
Wow!That´s amazing!Really great video!Thumbs up!Greetings!
Love to see my State representing !!! 👍👌👍👌
This is interesting Portsmouth NH in the states has a submarine repair and modification facility
Damn! Wish I knew what " Foreign ship " was on the website, good video.
Just download the iphone app " find my submarine " then you can see any sub on a map, anywhere in the world 24/7 ;) LOL.
Nicely filmed. Aircraft are still No1 to film but that Sub comes a very close second!
Few things are as subtly menacing to observe as the conning tower of a submarine descending below the surface.

Great catch.. :)
cool. thanks for sharing
Thats amazing!
subs great & so is the tug So Powerful :-)
Is it being pulled by those two tug boats? The propellers barely generating any wave.
No and that's the point
Pump-Jets . Not propellers . . .
Such dark and predatory ships... deterrence now, but I wonder if and when they'll next be used in anger.
I don't know when, but I bet it will be in the Pacific.
Wonkabar007 It's interesting you say that because I just looked up an article on Australia's submarine fleet: we're spending a lot of money on them because apparently all our Asian neighbours are too...
Nice wonka. ....are you still watchin the aircraft?
Impressive
This one submarine could end the world. Scary thought 😮
she probably felt more welcome there than any American harbor.love you brits!
wrong

There are multiple boats that have the name New Hampshire, this is a block II Virginia class attack sub that was commissioned this year. :)
No..... She was commissioned in 2008. I would know I was on that ship while this video was being filmed.
Cyrus Gardner I mean operational as of 2014.
it went operational in 2008. her first deployment was just a little over a year after that. shes been on more than 4 deployments.
Cyrus Gardner Is it possible the New Hampshire was secretly operation in 2008, but only went publicly operational in 2014 ?
The crew of the USS New Hampshire is 50% women.
Kidding.
They would just still up trouble. What a potential nightmare.
Lol! Can you imagine they’d all start their mensi’s at the same time. There’d be so much drama that they’d fire off a few nukes!
Why is it being reported the USS New Hampshire just entered active service? She's been Commissioned since 2008.
Pump-Jet Propulsor . . .
Seems quite small really

There’s at least 28 feet below the surface
@@cenewton3221 classed as SSGN which have nuke cruise missile and special ops chambers FACT this sub is a hunter killer or as the USA say fast attack
The Virginia class new Hampshire is smaller than the Ohio class maine some what smaller I'm from new Hampshire
that city must stop those wisits everyday.you can be nucked in the future
