Thank you! Couldn't get the case back on, and I needed to know that the red gasket goes around the case back first. I was trying to do it with the gasket tucked in to the watch itself. With that little "trick" the case popped right back on.
There is a slight grove on mine. I thought I wasn't gonna be able to open it, but managed to find a slight grove. Using the pry tool, you can actually feel which side of the cover has a slight grove. I'm sure there is. Mostly towards the side where the strap is attached
Thank you so much i had a watch and the back wouldn't snap back on, but now after watching this video i got it back on, thanks to you thank you so much
I have the right tool and a new Dooney and Bork watch and I can’t get the back off there’s really no place to get that tool underneath. It’s too thick. Maybe I have some thing center like an X-Acto knife or something
@@HobbyWild I will take a second look. D&B customer service was no help at all. I got it at an estate sale still in box with tags, would like to wear it and am determined to do it myself...for now
Liklely they are trying to save a few bucks in case price and assembly time. They probably buy the case dirt cheap in China so most of the savngs would be ease of high speed final assembly in Switzerland.
Yeah I'd prefer screw cases. Not only are they easier to open and close, but feel so much more secure. At least makes you feel the case is sealed better.
Make sure that the ring (if you have one) is aligned properly. If you have placed the ring on the case-back and it's not closing, try instead placing it on the body of the watch (and vice versa).
That was easy. Thanks for the video. Ignore the guy that says this is extremely difficult. If you have the mental capacity to read a watch, and you have hands, you'll be fine.
I took mine to a local jeweller. He put the gasket inside the watch not on the backplate clicked it together.. Called it job done and it fell apart on way out of the shop. I took hold of the press (he didn't use) and did it myself in the shop I was so angry.
Well,i have to buy another watch, have scratched the back to pieces trying to get it off,and stabbed my finger badly, has anyone invented wind up watches yet😅

I may have done the exact same thing as you before too!
I watched probably 5 videos, yours is the only one that actually helped me! Thank you!!!!
Mission accomplished 😀👍
Good tutorial, Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Well that was surprisingly easy, thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you for the very clear, easy to understand video, with the clear view of the back/inside of the watch!
There is a Tissot watch that does not have a grove to open and the sides are recessed . How do you remove the back on that watch.

On my snap-back the little lip to get under was only on one small section of the cover and quite hard to see. I much prefer the twist-back cases.

screw back cases are the best , wonder why tissot doesnt use them
I agree with you completely. They are much easier. 🤓👍

I'm having trouble putting the lid back!!!

Can i use 395 battery for this watch
Sorry, I can't remember which battery was inside this watch 😞👍
Ok no worry thanks
371 is the right size. 395 looks thicker but it should.
I have a problem
Mine is swatch
And it has like a compass on its back i don't understand
Sorry, I haven't opened a Swatch like that before 🙁

Love it 😂👍
