CIG is getting good at this new game. Screw something up that a child would have noticed a problem with, then fix it and receive praise. Still melting my inferno for the guardian. More due to fact that it has an interior and I do not like ships that are just a cockpit.
I shall watch and pray that the wailing and suffering caused by the Guardian's inevitable nerfs after the sales window are mercifully quick, and you are all able to heal from them and move on with a fresh buyback token
Guardian is low on DPS compared to vanguard and F8C and barely above those two on agility stats and only has 1 shield. F8C is the heavy that needs a nerf. Guardian could have gotten a s4 on each arm similar to fury and still only had the DPS of the F8C and still only having a single shield. That is how the guardian should have been but CIG is worse at balancing than a 1 legged paraplegic on a balance beam. Or change the F8C from a heavy to a super heavy.
Same as Banu Defender, the cockpit looked awesome and gave you an alien feeling, everything was blue. Now it's yellow/orange and ugly as hell it doesn't look alien anymore.
@@frankindabank mhhh I cannot entirely follow you...the Defender got the best generic implementation. You actually can see every MFD and they are quite useable.
@@el3ctr1csix22 usable and beautiful are two different things. The defender is not really meta, I bought it because of alien look and feel, now it's just generic, not special or alien like anymore HUD-wise.
I think it would be better for gameplay if they would let you continue firing during overheat but if you do it damages the weapon. There are times when I would be willing to repair the weapon if it meant a few more shots.
In this case, one could make the argument that they seemed to have listened to feedback and did some changes for the better. Actually...color me surprised, I didn't expect that.
That's true but it's a good thing for CIG overall, the community seems to be more knowledgeable about good gameplay design than CIG overall, meaning following players for QOL stuff like this and fixing bugs is a very welcome move.
CIG has said it will adjust and nerf everything, on the fly. If they don't make enough in cash sales, they will nerf profit in game. I forsee regular wipes.
Spread is good! I keep saying that one solution for these would be to make them hard hitting like crazy, but give them jitter, make them pretty much useless against small ships so they can do what they are supposed to, hit capital class ships and larger vessels Hard.
why do they put this core information on a casted on display that needs to be activated seperately, and nowhere on the actual ship HUD? what was that? diagenic? geriatric? diarreah?
while that bar is nice... I was looking all over the HUD to see this and not the upper left corner. my only gripe about the new HUD is that they do not have Ammo indicators / Missile indicators. when in a fight .. i do not want to be looking anywhere else but that center view.
Exactly this. Reinstalled SC again this week to try 4.0 EPTU. Haven't played since MM, so I missed the new HUD/power management/inventory banks. It took me a minute during combat to realize my weapon stats are now in the top-left corner-even more annoying on an ultra-wide 34-inch 21:9 screen. It was much better when vital weapon info was near the reticle, where it is for literally every game where you pilot a thing. No idea why CIG thought moving it was a good idea to begin with.
The inferno is thrash. It doesn't work with their intended design and was just implemented to bait brrrrt A-10 fans to empty their wallets. The easlier people understand this will NOT EVERY be good, better.
The spread is less important when using this ship for it's intended purposes, killing Polarises. :D and before someone says it would die 1v1. Well you should have 5 of these attacking a Polarises for real use case. Would be a good test.

Even if we would agree that Inferno is meant to destroy capital ships, which I don't agree with: Inferno cannot even destroy turrets, PDCs and components decently enough, because she is spreading her low damage bullets all over the place.

Then adjust the range so it always loses in a knife fight. Granted that also makes no sense, IRL an M1 Abrams Main battle tank would Destroy a Toyota Hilux.
Why would it need to be bad against small ships ? It's a heavy fighter. Not very agile, but If you fly in front of its guns, you should be shredded as a small ship.
A small fighter could dance around the Inferno. But if they cross into a stream of S7-projectiles they should pop like a balloon. I used the Inferno in ERTs in 3.19. That’s what she is built for.
Nice to see CIG fixing something the players needed. And even giving a small buff for the joke of a ship. It's still bad but slightly less so.

Nice to see they got the overheat bar in, was kinda peeved when Yogi said it wasn't coming un 4.0
with those Fisher Price MFD Inferno will never be the same.
Just like the consequences.

Overheat duration still too long for a gatling and a ship thats purely designed around that weapon
No cohesive action from cig, it's all reactionary.
In this case, one could make the argument that they seemed to have listened to feedback and did some changes for the better.

I think it's confirmed that after 12 years they are completely unorganised

At least a step in the right direction.
The cooldown bars are a much needed feature, good to see them back in game.

But can it do its new primary role? Probably not. Thanks Cam!

Im 100% sure they fixed this ship cuz ur comparrisons
00:25 - thats a line? Thanks for the arrow or never would have noticed it.
yes ist a very intuitive position where you naturaly look to in a fight. Also you can see how far to overheat you are.. well done CIG.. **cough**
Good deal. Good coverage.
Now they gotta give the corsair pilot guns back
Would love to hear your thoughts on the "advanced HUD."
damn, now make its brother better than 3/10 atleast
I'd still choose the Ion, because PEW PEW
Seriously though, this ship needs an interior and a bed. They won’t do that until Guardian sales decline though…
Didn't the indicator used to countdown before where you got a visual indication of how close it was to being back to a non overheated state?
They need to allow us to move MFD elements. On a super ultrawide monitor, some of the hud is simply too far away to see.
I wonder if upgraded coolers will help with overheating weapons
4.0 Distortion test when? 👉👈
Well, it make sense that you would have a big spread if you put a big gun on a small transport, don't you agree?
when will CIG move weapon state back to center ?
The inferno is thrash. It doesn't work with their intended design and was just implemented to bait brrrrt A-10 fans to empty their wallets.

Didnt the overheat bar replace the charged bars? so the ion maybe lost his charged bar for this...
Lmao. Cig seems got death threat dm.😂😂
they really are just making shit up as they go huh lmao
Cool, did they fix the ION yet?
There's no "Fixed" for the inferno, it's been nerfed into the most useless ship, a showerhead has tighter spray.
Thats good news
Wow, they are impressively bad at making a UI.

inferno is made to kill big ships
it has to be bad agains small ships
