    Hi, you play very well, brother. I would like to know what modifications you made to the trb yamaha (pre amp, pickups, etc) exact models if you were friendly, it sounds like a jazz bass, apart I would like to know what additional pickups you use in the neck thanks

    • @alexeyzavolokin
      @alexeyzavolokin  4 года назад +5

      Thanx bro! Here's stock electronics and new custom built neck. It added some brightness. There's no additional pickup, it is slap ramp between neck and front pickup. Best regards!

      Hi! Thank you! This is stock electronics. Not the best sound you can get from this bass. Best way is to change pickups & preamp. Here's sound recorded using Cubase soft.

    hello, congratulations on the excellent study and talent. can you tell me what you did to make the bass sound like jazz bass?

    • @alexeyzavolokin
      @alexeyzavolokin  2 года назад +3

      Hi Danilo. Thank you. Bridge pickup has reverse position so working coils are outer coils. That's where the sound comes from

      @@alexeyzavolokin I was already looking for a Yamaha 1006 Bass, but this news that you made, made me even more. is this mockup available with the settings to be like this available somewhere? , I would like to present this to a Luthier to do this on mine.

    did you invert the pickup? it sounds so different and much better than i know.. anyway what's the thing between neck pickup and neck?

    • @alexeyzavolokin
      @alexeyzavolokin  2 года назад +1

      Yes. Bridge pickup has reverse position so working coils are outer coils. That's where the sound comes from.

    sounds great. is that a 3rd pickup you have fitted?

    • @alexeyzavolokin
      @alexeyzavolokin  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! It is just slap ramp, not a pickup.

      @@alexeyzavolokin Sorry to bother! Out of curiosity, what motivated you to sell it? How would you summarize your experience with it?

    • @alexeyzavolokin
      @alexeyzavolokin  Год назад

      @@yoshuanava the main reason is timbre. It was a great instrument, but it's alder body sounds not bright enough for me, too much mids, and not enough highs,not enough low end. Ash body and maple neck is perfect combination which is much better for my taste.

      @@alexeyzavolokin I see. Thank you! I want to share that I think you made the bass sound wonderful, and I'm sure other people had a positive showcase of the bass through watching your videos. All the best :)
