    One more thing to add because I want to be really transparent about it!
    I felt more tired on this run vs the last race last year and I will actually consider gels for my next half marathon. Just to let you know. Would love to hear your experience about this and of course I will update you after my next race 🫶

      I am not an expert- I have run maybe 20 HM and enjoyed them all. I have run 3 full marathons - they are an achievement but perhaps not as much fun !
      I have another HM booked in August. Like you say lots of water and pasta the day before. I don't bother with any gels for a half - I do practice drinking water on the run and take on water at the water stations especially if it is a hot day. I wear shorts with front pockets and have a cloth handkerchief in one to wipe the sweat from stinging my eyes and a few jelly sweets in the other side which I may or may not need on the day. I would practice sipping water on long training runs on the lead in - best wishes on your next HM !

    Such a great video! Im just now training for my first half marathon and Im working with the same training philosophy as you, so refreshing to see someone with experience taking low heart rate training seriously 🌹

      And for heart rate: I am all about health and for this heart rate is so important. I want to run until I am like a 100 so I have to take care 😂

    Thank you. I think the half marathon is a lovely distance to run - recovery afterwards is good and the training needed is managable👍👍

      I think so too! I was hesitant to try for years and it was way easier to train for it and run it than I thought.
      Have you done a full marathon already? I kinda want to do it but also again hesitant here 😂
