  • My visit to the Museum of Transport, Greater Manchester in Cheetham Hill to the '200 Years of the Bus' event on Saturday 27th July 2024.
In 1824, Salford toll keeper John Greenwood started a horse bus service between Pendleton and Manchester, five years before anything similar happened in London. This event celebrates the 1960s with heritage buses running between the museum and Manchester city centre and to Whitefield.
Buses featured in this video are:
    1967 Bristol RESL
    1965 AEC Renown 3B3RA
    1962 Daimler Fleetline
    1957 Leyland Titan PD2/20
    1951 Leyland Titan PD2/3
    1967 Leyland Titan PS2/47
    1969 Leyland Titan PD3/4
    1965 Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1
    1958 Leyland Titan PD2/34
    1956 Leyland Titan PD2/13
    1960 Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1
    1969 Leyland Titan PD3/14
