- I set off on a 14 mile round trip, hiking, climbing and a wild camp on a hill which has eluded me for quite some time. Part of the Ardgartan Peninsular and high above Loch Long, Gare Loch & Loch Goil - I set out to see if I could bag this remote hill.

Hi there.. I have had a reoccurring foot problem which was diagnosed late last year.. it was a real struggle to do distance or climb.. I now wear insoles to take the weight off the offending bones which seems to be helping.. I always have a couple of target events to do in any one year - it keeps my motivated and fit. One cycling and one hiking... But try to do more.. 👍👍👍👍

Cheers uncle Carl... I was really wanting to go somewhere which got the legs n lungs going and had always fancied that top, but such a commitment to get oot n back - never mind up it... I'm still planning on the C2C but spring is not looking quite so good at the moment. Not ruled out but struggling for time off.. hopefully things will change at work. Important thing is to keep the fitness growing... It's all looking like long weekends at present.. 🤷. I hope you're feeling strong 💪💪

Eyup Ray.. I'm actually having a fall out with GoPro at the moment bout their blinking cameras,. 📸. Funny you say that bout the bike. Swung my leg over the saddle for the first time today.. in months.. I have a islands tour planned this summer and need to get my arse in to gear... 🚴🚴🚴🚴.. I'm up for it now, so lots of training will have me bike-fit very soon. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Shame about the camera falling over during the time lapse, (looked a gud 'un too). I'm getting the hang of them myself with the Go-Pro (always keeping an eye out though in case it falls as yours did, (-hope it's alright!))
