Parshwanath Upadhyaye & Rukmini Vijayakumar are talents personified...they r unparalleled except by each other which can b witnessed in their shankarabharanam and nayani video...Parshwanath happens to be that rare male bharatnatyam dancer who dismisses the myth that classical dance is meant for girls..and he completely crushes the usual perception among the audience that 'who wants to c a man dance ?..women r attractive to look at and hence make good dancers'.. but is not so...'attractiness' is not gender dependent...and Parshwanath proves it...I wish more n more male classical dancers follow his footsteps n learn something about 'how to dance like a man'.. I think it would serve well if Parshwanath teaches other male dancers a thing or too about personal grooming n being easy on the eyes..coz a lot of male classical dancers have long hair n flaunt hairy armpits without any consideration about the audience members...coz that is very hard on the eyes of audience.. n frankly very repellent.. n that's probably where the sense of 'who wants to c a man dance?' Comes from...male classical dancers should really take a note or two from Parshwanath... god bless you :)
Parshwanath is one of a kind. A kohinoor. He's just unparalleled. Very handsome too. A treat to watch. Beautiful performance by a beautiful person. Loved it.
