Thank you sir! I have been searching for the beep in continuity mode from a few reviews now, and once you have a meter with the beep, you never want to go back to the dark ages! I like the 703, and I think that will be my purchase to replace my aged DVM in the garage :)
UPDATE. With the new 1.4.2. firmware update we now have a third trace available in the form of "FFT" (FAST FOURIER TRANSFORM) availability in glorious RED colour. It replaces the FORMAT position in the fourth menu which was used to delete the stored screen shots. It changes the "X" axis from time to frequency and as such changes the display to that of a a spectrum analyser. Frequency is plotted along the x-axis and amplitude is plotted along the y-axis. FFTs often look like a series of mountain peaks. The horizontal location of peaks indicates which frequencies are strongly present in the W/F. The valleys show which frequencies are absent. I tried this with the built in calibration sig gen on all the available W/Fs and it shows the strongest frequency is the prime 1 KHz followed in the case of square waves by diminishing amplitude peaks at each successive square wave. Quite useful when checking audio problems etc. The second change in the menu is in the 2nd row, what used to be the trigger position, is now "SAMPLE" with two choices, HD & PEAK, peak.
Impressive - I was expecting it to be double the price of the 10Mhz model, but it is just $10 or $20 more? I have only had my 702S for 5 minutes and it's now out of date! I like the larger screen and the image viewer for screenshots, and the signal generator is not bad. My one also has a stiff BNC so I am pleased they fixed that too. I'd love to see a teardown and see the PCB compared with the 10Mhz one. Also the current draw on the battery. 👍
Thank you for the review, Tony. It is amazing how many features they can cram into these devices. It looked to me like the upper frequency limit of the scope was a triggering issue rather than a bandwidth issue. As you said, the displayed amplitude did not drop significantly between 47 and 48 MHz. Are there any trigger modes other than auto? - if so it might be interesting to experiment with them. Regards, David
Thanks David!, yes i did think of that, but it was not just unsyncing, is was jumping like crazy too.. but indeed i need to try to be sure, i did not do that. yes good experiment for sure.

I impersonated an electronics technician, engineering lab technician, computer support specialist and other duties at a Defense contractor for 25 years, all started with taking apart my Dad's kitchen alarm clock radio and fixing it. He noticed it mysteriously worked again. Same on the TV, I waited for him to go to work, I marked all the tunes positions, removed them, rode my bike to the tube tester at the Rexall Drug store, bought the needed tube that was bad. Just remember to put some dust or dirt on the new tube so your Dad doesn't notice. He knew I fixed the clock radio too but didn't like either. He was Mr. Cautious thinking I'd get electrocuted and take down the power station and be shamed by the neighbors. Thanks again.
I just got 703s, using to troubleshoot MACBOOK charging problem. Happy so far. The 703s MENU has a "More APPs" selection; do you know of any that can be loaded? Maybe a 'mirror display to PC'? Because the device does have folders besides "Firmware". ZoTek has nothing I can find. Thanks
I watched to see how crappy this was, and yes, you pointed out that the Owon hand-held oscilloscope was much better. The function generator is not good enough to add a BNC connector. Only 1x 16850 battery and the specs are not detailed fully like compareble test equipment. Maybe the price is good but better not to waste it if a little more get you a much better functioning and usable device. I might sound a little biased as I own an Owon HDS2202S. 3 BNC and more user-friendly operating experience. Thanks for showing us the Zoyi.

Hi Tony, you didn't show the main thing for me. Whether or not this device will be able to show the sine wave of its generator with its oscilloscope, precisely while the frequency of the internal generator is changing. To set up the resonant circuits, I need to look through the oscilloscope window, and at the same time change the frequency of the generator, all this must happen simultaneously. It seemed to me that if it is possible to reduce the size of the generator window when the oscilloscope is turned on, I might try to check this. Is this device suitable for this? 73! UR7CQ
