Pray was saying goodbye to Blanca in the most beautiful, spectacular way. Crying tears of joy and sadness watching this. One of my favorite Diana Ross songs
they made me believe that soulmates aren't always romantically involved. best friends like Blanca & Pray, or Merideth & Christina from that Seattle medical show.
Her music has been a constant in my life for over 50years and you are right her impact is something that needs to be screamed from the highest mountain the longest valley and the widest river….
Why POSE gotta end... they should've also recreate Diana's exit from her Superbowl Halftime performance. If y'all know, y'all know. The most iconic exit ever.
This is a very emotional moment. Pray Tell knows that AIDS will end him. But he refuses to shrivel up and wither away in the face of it. He's basically saying. "If I'm going to die the next day, I'm gonna go out with a bang!!" That is true courage.
@Thomas Kelso...definitely one of the best series ever made. I love everything about it from the story lines to the costumes to the music. I also love that the cast members are at least 99% from the LGBTQ community. This is one box set I would happily spend any amount of money on
When Pray was singing "If you need me, call me. No matter where you are, no matter how far, just call my name I'll be there in a hurry", I like to think that was his final goodbye to Blanca and telling her that even beyond the grave, he'll always be there for her
I was watching this episode with my mother and immediately when the song came on she jumped up and started to singing in almost tears, singing to me. Telling me and holding my face she told me how she snuck out of the house at 13 years old just to watch Diana Ross perform in Central Park in 1983. I could tell it was a nostalgia moment for her that I was so happy to be there for it made me google Diana Ross and I never knew how much of an impact Diana Ross was to the LBGT community as my mother is a lesbian and I’m transgender we shared a great moment together that I’ll never forget. THANK YOU POSE !!!!!!! I cry everytime I watch this scene. For what happened in the show and for that moment I had with her.
I’ve really loved watching this series with my strict, Catholic mom, I’m so proud that she’s so open and accepting of EVERY. BODY. I really thought she was narrow minded and am happy she proved me wrong by how obsessed she is with this series and down to watch a lot of LGBTQ+ shows and movies.
Yes I loved that. I was fortunate to stand in that pouring rain inside Central Park and watch the magic of Diana Ross. Pray and Blanca did her justice.
I'm a straight guy and a ally to the LGBTQIA community and i must say that this performance by Blanca and Preytell was beautiful and i cried like a baby because it reminded me of Candy's homecoming in the second season of Pose that also made me cry too in a way Prey's performance in Candy's Sweet Reframe was his farewell and homecoming performance this was his way of telling us the audience and fans of Pose goodbye if you really think about it
This episode..... wow!!! Was so phenomenal !!!!! I stayed in tears watching this episode, especially when Pray died. I cried like a baby. I knew he was going to die, because I have learned in movies and television dramas, you have to read the characters. I knew it when he was talking to Blanca as they were getting ready to dance, and when she saw him alive for the last time outside when they both walked in different directions. I think Pray gave up because he saw that Ricky was getting worse, and he wanted to not see his friends continue to die from HIV. Instead of staying alive with the medication, and he knew that the study wasn't letting people of color in like they should, he wanted to save Ricky's life, so he stopped taking his pills. This part when they danced to Diana Ross, it hit me hard because it was so beautiful, and I knew the memories Pray would leave behind. I would say this is one of the best shows I have seen on television, and I put this show up with The Games of Thrones, and LoveCraft. The way they depicted the lives of gay and transgender people back in the day, was amazing!!!!! I hope that this show will get awards, because it is very much deserved. I don't care what their lifestyle is, they are people, and they should be recognized for their wonderful performances on POSE!!
@@curiositypiqued6573 most definitely. I started watching this series from a clip someone sent me when Elektra reads the woman in the restaurant. I was hooked from the pilot episode and binged watched it while having a flare and being fatigued. I saw trailers for the other shows mentioned and they didn't captivate me like Pose did.
I have never cried at a TV show as much as I have at the entirety of "Pose" - the incredible roller coaster of joy and sadness that this amazing show takes us on, especially for those of us who lived through this time period, is amazing. And when Pray Tell's fate was revealed in the next scene, I screamed, "I KNEW IT!!" I knew Ryan Murphy was going to rip our hearts out and leaving us a bawling mess! And now, watching it later, it's just as beautiful and poignant as it was before we knew what was coming. Thank you to everyone involved for this AMAZING show!!
I like the part when Pray and Blanca are slowly grooving together for a bit. There is so much joy in this performance. I agree with so many that this was one gut-wrenching yet insanely lively show. Billy revealed this year he has been living with HIV since 2007. The entire episode "Take Me to Church" was based on his life in Pittsburgh. I was stunned. Still am. He said the moment he found out he reacted exactly as he did on the show. Just think of what we would have missed out on if HIV meds weren't around.
Diana brought me here! never watched the series before this but now I may just have to binge watch this baby!! Iconic scene with an Iconic song in reverence to an Icon... Well done
I find myself coming back to watch this clip for at least a week, every month since it aired. I was so ready for them to come out and watch them spend that last moment together. I knew they both were gonna bring it hard ❤️ I cried so hard watching this episode. I still cry every single time the second the music starts up 😭 Prey really gave Blanca such a beautiful last memory together and an unforgettable performance for everyone in the ballroom. He went out with style and grace ❤️ Pose was such a good show and made me love every character from the community (not the upper class douches in the show). Man, I remember crying my eyes out during the episode when Candy died. Especially when they showed her get out of the coffin and perform her Candy's Sweet Refrain to Never Knew Love Like This Before. That episode hit me hard. And in the episode when Prey dies, I was already bawling during his last performance cause I knew he was gonna die. I cried even more when Ricky found him and then I full on lost it when Blanca found out he was gone and cried in Ricky's arms.
I want them to do this performance so badly at the emmys or the Grammys or the golden globes!!! Like I need to see them do this and I want everyone to see it!!!
i remember watching this with joy and being so happy for both of them. but i knew afterwards i had a heavy feeling pray was going to let himself die, he kept talking in past tense or as if he was saying last words. likebwhen he told blanca’s bf “take care of her” and seeing him take off his makeup i knew. i cried like a baby this show not only talk about so many important social issues, taught lessons, taught us you can create your own family and how family and love is one of the most beautiful things in life, but it literally is one of the best shows ive ever watched.
Just saying, dancing with heels while the floor is wet is a whole new level of legendary performance. Candy's Sweet Refrain is giving us cavities and toothaches that we don't mind getting =P.
I watched the final episode once, I didn’t even think of connecting this performance to Pray Tells death! This song is perfect in expressing his feelings for Blanca and the rest of the crew. im back in tears again, but it’s worth it! 😭 I’m SO missing this show and all of the beautiful actors that made it BANG!!!

Shit... I knew something was going down as it was airing. It was a perfect swan song for Pray Tell.
Of course it did. You’re probably a good person. Their relationship was so pure I love ir
Pray was saying goodbye to Blanca in the most beautiful, spectacular way. Crying tears of joy and sadness watching this. One of my favorite Diana Ross songs
It's only fitting that Pray Tell's last ballroom moment ever was shared with Blanca. She really was his soulmate.
That's right. A soulmate doesn't have to be a romantic one. It could be a sister, a brother, your best friend, whom you share a piece of you with.
when i first saw the episode i screamed and screamed. now when i watch, i can't stop crying. Beauty unparalleled.

Diana Ross’s impact on the gay community cannot be overstated. I don’t think many young people realize what an legend she is.
I’m young and I realized this just after I watched this show. Thanks to Pose I know more of music that represents us LGBTQ people.
Her music has been a constant in my life for over 50years and you are right her impact is something that needs to be screamed from the highest mountain the longest valley and the widest river….
