Own one of these. Just a wonderful thing to drive for the last three years.Supercar sound and looks, without the garish qualities of some others. A keeper.
Although a beautiful car and a step up from the base model , this is not a limited edition by any means It’s just a 4.7 engined sports model Great car but not limited edition The only limited edition GT was the fendi grancabrio ( special interior and one off colours ) A special GT would be an mc stradale ( not limited either ) All and all , beautiful “practical “ cars , well built and raspy at any revs
Combustion Chamber I’m eying one at the moment hence the info I am compiling ( sad individual !! ) a list of known faults and how to address them prior to a purchase ( looking at us import ) The days of my cayman GTS are numbered ..... it’s time to grow up !
BTW the F1 model is the most limited model of the Granturismo in the U.S as there were only 300 made for 1 year 2009 this has an actual clutch which shifts 100 milliseconds and is the only year that needs a clutch replacement once it starts slipping very costly which keeps this particular model for the true enthusiast
This is not a limited edition car, just a grandtourismo S, right? There are plenty more of them in Europe. It's a great car but very misleading to say that it's limited edition.
Ok, but I have a limited edition Porsche cayman, it has a special badge that says it's part of only 777 in the world, there were no more made in other countries or in following years. I don't mean to be critical, the Grandtourismo S is a great car but I certainly wouldn't consider it to be limited edition, especially because they made many more in the following years. I wouldn't even consider the Grandtourismo S MC to be limited edition. Limited edition cars usually have a short and low production number, and the number represents all total numbers in the world, and there are no more of that edition in the future. I wouldn't want anyone to buy the Grandtourismo S believing they are buying a limited edition, one of only 3oo, when in reality they were buying one of 3oo for that year, in north America. All that being said I'd gladly trade my porsche for the Grandtourismo s!
Love those cars. I've had the pleasure of driving several of them, such nice cars. Owner needs a science lesson..."magnetar" suspension...that's a collapsed star dude. What is his really stressful job? Oh, and it's alcantera, read the word. LOL. Might lose the mullet too Casey. ;)
James Morrison I’m a broker , you know I trade stocks and what not, and that’s my bad I said “alcantra” since that’s how we pronounce it in our native language
Beautiful car Tony....Congratulations....Coincidentally, I had a good year trading so decided to treat myself and took delivery of a black GT two days ago....Glory to Jah.
I have a question about this car, I owned the exact model and I was wondering why does it go on neutral while I’m driving? It happens often. It usually does it before 6 gear.
I own a 2007 Maserati Gransport with the smaller 4.2 liter engine, but also with the "F1" transmission. My car also recently started going on neutral while I'm driving, after 48,000 kilometers (30,000 miles). I visited a specialized mechanic a few days ago, he did the diagnosis and told me that the clutch has to be replaced and it lasted much longer than expected (!!). I think your car uses the same transmission, at least as regards its basics, perhaps strengthened to cope with the greater torque (I read Wiki to check this).
The David here’s some education on these engines for you, the displacement size varies from applications , in the end it’s the same engine with different displacements and manifolds en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_F136_engine
Anthony Bahar please accept that saying "it has the same engine as the F430" is misleading to say the least. Changing the displacement means changing the max rev output, (9,000 vs 7,500), the power and torque delivery curve, the engine's overall behaviour. It is in fact a totally different engine, differently tuned for a different gearbox. In short, you gave a very very simplicistic info.

I think the numbers here in The States are much lower than Europe if I understand correctly. - CJP

@@kc4ril it is a limited edition...it 1 of 300 with the f1 transmission...09 was the only year they made them
@@robertcomella3587 Ok, so it's low production but not technically, limited edition right?
It is a limited edition f1 transmission car...so yes it is a rare edition of the gt only made in 09

What's 0 to 60 in this vehicle?
I have a question about this car, I owned the exact model and I was wondering why does it go on neutral while I’m driving? It happens often. It usually does it before 6 gear.
Honestly I have no idea. This car ran flawlessly. I'd go to a specialist for that problem. - CJP
Juan Ramirez not normal at all you got a messed up transmission
I own a 2007 Maserati Gransport with the smaller 4.2 liter engine, but also with the "F1" transmission. Nice! - CJP
Just bought a 2011 S
Awesome! What do you think? - CJP
Does the 2013 maserati granturismo sports have the same transmission as the 2009 mgt?
I'm planning on owning one soon ..i am currently LOOKING at a 2013 MT sport
You know, I'm not sure. - CJP
Nice! Thanks for watching the show! - CJP
Not in the Us. That transmission was only available in the us in 2009. I just bought one. 😀
I own this car
what???? did he really say "the 4.7L engine you can find in a F430 Ferrari"? Is he mad?
The David I did , it is the same engine except for the manifold
Anthony Bahar maybe the F430 has a 4.3L.
