Lust is the only of them that we're told to RUN from. I think lust is what truly brings light to the other deadly sins. For example, lust of money becomes greed, lust of others possessions becomes envy, lust of food becomes gluttony, etc.
I think several of the sins can be viewed as feeding into one another. Evil feeds into evil, it’s the nature of things. I don’t think it has anything to do with Lust specifically. But all of the sins can be traced back to Pride and Envy which definitely do feed into each other.

I struggle with lust the most. The world says it is okay, love who you love and that certain sexual activities outside of marriage is okay and it is now expected. I think that because of how common sex and lust is in society, it influences young women to grow up and see themselves as sex objects and to have their personal value based on how appealing they are sexually and not them as a person.

1:17 It’s really out of control, recently I watched a Netflix show and it did have a warning that it contained uhh spicy stuff but I assumed it would be a mild fade to black type scene that happens like once a season which I could easily skip. But no there was about 3-4 graphic $3x scenes in the FIRST EPISODE. Keep in mind this show was supposed to be about martial arts mainly, I don’t understand how society can tolerate this in general.

This seems to be a problem with a lot of people these days: they understand or care about consequences. Because consequences are a lot more skewed now. The internet is dangerous for this reason. If you have an opinion forming, the internet will help you find people who agree, that doesn’t mean you were right. Echo chambers and such. The issue is that people in general are behaving more prideful. It went from uplifting people to feel self-confidence, into being self-centered. It's considered "cool" to be a jerk. It's "cool" to have millions give you attention, to flaunt your seggsuality, flaunt and brag about wealth, Find easy and low effort ways to get things done, Being aggressive and arrogant. People are just too egotistical, and that ego drives every other sin. With the 7 deadly sins, Prides creates every other since. But with the 7 heavenly virtues, the virtues is what makes you Humble. Humility is the opposite of Pride, and it's got more power than pride, but it's much harder to be humble than to be arrogant.

They had episodes on dr*gs/alcohol, addiction, internet safety, coming of age etc. Those were usually in preteen/teen shows, but we also don't really have shows for those stages anymore. The way most social media websites are structured tends to lead to pride. People get obsessed with their likes and followers and it leads to them acting like they're better than others simply because they have a higher number on their profile.
You underestimated Gluttony. Today, people think it’s normal to over eating and if you eat normally you are fatphobic. I think it’s especially a problem in America but it starts to come in Europe. Nowadays, people think: - a overweight body is normal, -a fat body is overweight, -a very fat/look obese body is « No, you are not fat, you are beautuful », -a normal body is skinny, -a skinny body is underweight, - a very skinny body is anorexia.
I really appreciate how you mentioned how movies and TV shows like Euphoria show chemistry between characters with sex scenes instead of genuine moments like The Notebook. These days, I've found myself only watching documentaries and PG movies because of the vulgar scenes that flash on the screen without warning. It destigmatizes sex and makes it meaningless to the point where most people my age (17-18) are almost flabbergasted that I am still a virgin at my age and waiting until marriage.

Lust is one of the sins you should look out for. It's in our nature to seek pleasure or to satisfy our fleshly desires. ( Which is a result of sin) But I feel as though that we need to be more aware and alert in times such as these. Stay faithful ❤

Also thank you for speaking on the deadly sins from a Christian perspective because like you said they once were a teaching in Christianity (I believe they were removed to cause more confusion among the masses and unfortunately send people further into sin) You should do a video on the Seven heavenly virtues and how people can truly begin to heal these sins! I don’t believe anyone has to focus on healing any sins outside of these because these sins are the gatekeepers. More people should know about the virtues and speak on them because that’s how the sins lose their power. Wrath : Patience Lust : chastity Greed : generosity Pride : humility Sloth : diligence Envy : kindness Gluttony : temperance Learning these virtues helped me heal my own perceptions of sin, I didn’t fear God before(because I love him) but this also helped me understand that there is no need to fear God when you’re living righteously. Also, people for some reason today hate the mention of righteousness and want to normalize there being no need(as if it doesn’t amplify the suffering we’re all experiencing to not stand against this injustice) As far as the deadly sin I believe is most prevalent, to me it would be lust or greed. The powers that be perform dark sexual rituals and acts of harm against adults and children alike, but they do it for “power” ? And they run this whole world(as above so below, the same thing goes on in almost every home) So I can’t differentiate between it being lust or greed and would probably say it’s both.

I remember i was very lustful when i was 10-11, i watched some not very good things, and it’s so sad. I’m 12 now and i beat lust, it’s so disgusting. I wish people could just change. I also am still currently beating gluttony, im actually losing weight and im not eating as much. I’m also dealing with sloth, i cant help it. I really want to start being more active and maybe even start exercising but I don’t have any type of inspiration or motivation to do so. I really wanna help others by spreading the gospel but it doesn’t seem to work. I tried to inspire my lukewarm friend to start reading their Bible again but she doesn’t seem to care.
I relate to you, it seems almost impossible but don’t give up. I think I’m almost in the same similar spot as you right now, but it’s a little personal so I’m not going too into detail about it. When I was 5 I was introduced to my little pony lustful videos 🤨 it’s a long story but I managed to beat it. Lust is disgusting and some of the things the evil and wickedness living in people managed to twist is insane, You can also see them spreading these videos right? That’s probably because the demons told them to “spread the love” HAHA- uhm 😭 what you mean spread the lust my guy? But they can tell the demons can tell them instructions too. Once when I was in the sin of lust (also because I didn’t know how great i was supposed to be, and who I was meant to be in God holy and pure and productive 😨 matter of fact God has you covered if your wondering, your purpose is gonna be unique and satisfying, more satisfying then WHATEVER THIS IS. But then again the demons do manage to convince a lot of people that lust is better than the love that’s keeping us ALL OF US alive *Gods mercy* uhm anyways) I heard a voice tell me to share it, ALSO most can have an urge to share their sin!! And then the demons let you spread your disease while God watches- wait… also that, the demons hate God Sin goes depths of wrong, and so sometimes it’s so much for my brain to handle. I can’t even being to process Satans sin ENTIRELY… Tell God to help you and give you strength (I have ADHD) and God has helped me stay focused in a lot of things. like right now!! About the gospel thing, 100% me too? Not that it doesn’t work, because I don’t know how it really impacts them. But since people’s wills still exist im not sure they’ll pick God that easily or if they’ll pick him at all considering the state of humanity right now 🤨 all I wish you is that you realize whenever that SOME WILL LISTEN!! But attempting at least will be amazing because not only will you know you tried your best, but you followed the instructions of God letting them get a chance to listen and have faith!! To anyone reading this remember, with everything you do always keep God on your mind. What it means to keep his commandments in your heart is to remember his will, what he wants for your life. (His will is something you can depend on) when you remember his will and act on it, your life is going in the right direction. God will tell you what is right to do, and you must follow him if you want to go the right way. If you stop caring about being like everyone else and getting distracted and attracted to everything this world is offering you And decide to care about wanting to do Gods will, praying to him to help you and get you through this, you will become who God made you to be.
Now that I think of it, you can do anything holy with the lord. You can have fun drawing with the Lord, and all that stuff. He can tell you what poses to draw and he can tell you how to be patient enough to wait for the process to show in your drawings. God can do anything! The way he does things is not anything we want, it’s the way he wants it. That way, it’s good. Because everything he wants is good, and everything we want isn’t always good. Whatever we want that is good is from the lord.

I always see the sin of lust not only in video games, books, or television series, but everywhere I go. I will not consider invoking the deadly sin of lust, nor pride; these can have serious consequences on our youth today, especially if it were for children.
I agree with all of these (which should already be a given but is not unfortunately in this world). It’s so sad how especially our generation completely romanticizes so much of this. You see songs saying horrific things about women’s bodies and people normalizing cheating, people normalizing bad grades and low effort and laughing it off, people seeing other’s people’s looks and destroying themselves over it, influencers and their egos, not turning an eye to thinks like being a “big back” and not sharing, people romanticizing the lifestyle of money over anything, crash outs and people talking about pulling guns out over minor confrontations . It’s so sad seeing it everywhere. Slowly I’ve been trying to cut myself off from all that, personally sloth is the hardest thing for me to overcome due to social media and my own lack of willpower. This video really helped me better conceptualize how harmful all of those sinful behaviors and thoughts are.

I've been thinking about this quite often and to my surprise, your video found its way on my recommendations. I also realized how interconnected the seven deadly sins are. I often feel guilty because I too indulge in too much media and it seems impossible to escape from technology. Another thing is that I fear this generation will lose the favor of God. Gosh, May God have mercy upon us and give those who are willing to repent and turn back to Him.

First of all, I love this analysis; this really puts in perspective the 7 deadly sins also intercedes with each other and can be used even collectively. It's crazy how even these sins, as deadly as they are; are ironically given leeway and are permissible. Isaiah 5:20 'Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter'. this was a great video!! since im pretty young and still new to Christianity, I have a few questions. 1. are these sins unforgivable? like if I was being lazy one day for no reason, would I never be forgiven? 2. If you are proud of an achievement and wanna share it with others, would that be pride? example: "Hey look I got a 100% on this test! Im really happy about it!" 3. Does anyone have any tips on how to not get jealous? Sometimes I will be talking to my friends, and they show me something that makes me jealous/have envy. example: "Oh btw Ally, I just got these new clothes! Im so excited to try them on!" and then in my head, I would usually be saying "oh those look so pretty, compared to ny clothes they suck.." but I will say out loud "Yeah those look cute!" or smth like that. I know thats not good to even be thinking because God sees and hears everything, so Im still being jealous/having envy. Im just trying to be more faithful and grateful to God. So, arrogance and thinking that you are above everyone and God would be prideful. 3. I would say to have self-compassion and stop focusing on comparing. Be grateful for what you do have. I feel like I struggle with greed, sloth, and envy. I don’t act on my jealousy and don’t plan to but it’s hard not to feel jealous. Sloth is my biggest one. I try not to be but oooh boy is it nice to sleep. I have Hashimotos thyroiditis which does NOT help. Idk if it came first but that chronic fatigue is so rampant. And as for greed, it’s hard not to at least be greedy in America where it’s basically dog eat dog economy. I still like to give to others and i love when I can buy gifts or tip people. However having ADHD makes it so hard to keep money with my “collector” mentality and my eagerness to try new things. I definitely would like to work on it but idk where to start
Should definitely look into different saving account options or investing options and read into the importance of those. Maybe look into accounts that aren't highly liquid. Lust is the only of them that we're told to RUN from. I think lust is what truly brings light to the other deadly sins. For example, lust of money becomes greed, lust of others possessions becomes envy, lust of food becomes gluttony, etc.
Along with pride. The Bible says that pride comes before the fall. And you see the destruction that pride brings into people’s lives.
I think several of the sins can be viewed as feeding into one another. Evil feeds into evil, it’s the nature of things. I don’t think it has anything to do with Lust specifically. But all of the sins can be traced back to Pride and Envy which definitely do feed into each other.

I am trying to hold myself back from getting angry with Sabrina and her fans. I find it honestly sad how its considered normal to do sexual positions live, on stage, in front of thousands of people which will then of course reach millions of people. Not to mention the fact that she filmed a music video (feather) in a Church while wearing a provocative outfit. I am truly disgusted how these things are seen as normal. Where's the dignity?! It also isn't normal to create songs about sex/personal sex experiences and showcase it to young audiences, or even to anyone for that matter. Sex is seen as just a thing to do but it's truly sacred and should be protected and valued. Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande are prime examples of this. I struggle with lust the most. The world says it is okay, love who you love and that certain sexual activities outside of marriage is okay and it is now expected. I think that because of how common sex and lust is in society, it influences young women to grow up and see themselves as sex objects and to have their personal value based on how appealing they are sexually and not them as a person.

The issue is that people in general are behaving more prideful. It went from uplifting people to feel self-confidence, into being self-centered. It's considered "cool" to be a jerk. It's "cool" to have millions give you attention, to flaunt your seggsuality, flaunt and brag about wealth, Find easy and low effort ways to get things done, Being aggressive and arrogant.
People are just too egotistical, and that ego drives every other sin. With the 7 deadly sins, Prides creates every other since.
But with the 7 heavenly virtues, the virtues is what makes you Humble. Humility is the opposite of Pride, and it's got more power than pride, but it's much harder to be humble than to be arrogant.
The pride thing is real. A lot of people I know never apologize when they’re wrong or a jerk. Almost like they stick to it like a rule.

You underestimated Gluttony. Today, people think it’s normal to over eating and if you eat normally you are fatphobic.

- a overweight body is normal,
-a fat body is overweight,
-a very fat/look obese body is « No, you are not fat, you are beautuful »,
-a normal body is skinny,
-a skinny body is underweight,

I really appreciate how you mentioned how movies and TV shows like Euphoria show chemistry between characters with sex scenes instead of genuine moments like The Notebook. These days, I've found myself only watching documentaries and PG movies because of the vulgar scenes that flash on the screen without warning. It destigmatizes sex and makes it meaningless to the point where most people my age (17-18) are almost flabbergasted that I am still a virgin at my age and waiting until marriage.

You should do a video on the Seven heavenly virtues and how people can truly begin to heal these sins! I don’t believe anyone has to focus on healing any sins outside of these because these sins are the gatekeepers. More people should know about the virtues and speak on them because that’s how the sins lose their power.

Learning these virtues helped me heal my own perceptions of sin, I didn’t fear God before(because I love him) but this also helped me understand that there is no need to fear God when you’re living righteously. Also, people for some reason today hate the mention of righteousness and want to normalize there being no need(as if it doesn’t amplify the suffering we’re all experiencing to not stand against this injustice)
As far as the deadly sin I believe is most prevalent, to me it would be lust or greed. The powers that be perform dark sexual rituals and acts of harm against adults and children alike, but they do it for “power” ? And they run this whole world(as above so below, the same thing goes on in almost every home) So I can’t differentiate between it being lust or greed and would probably say it’s both.

I remember i was very lustful when i was 10-11, i watched some not very good things, and it’s so sad. I’m 12 now and i beat lust, it’s so disgusting. I wish people could just change.

Lust is disgusting and some of the things the evil and wickedness living in people managed to twist is insane,

That’s probably because the demons told them to “spread the love” HAHA- uhm 😭 what you mean spread the lust my guy?
But they can tell the demons can tell them instructions too.
Once when I was in the sin of lust
(also because I didn’t know how great i was supposed to be, and who I was meant to be in God holy and pure and productive 😨 matter of fact God has you covered if your wondering, your purpose is gonna be unique and satisfying, more satisfying then WHATEVER THIS IS. But then again the demons do manage to convince a lot of people that lust is better than the love that’s keeping us ALL OF US alive *Gods mercy* uhm anyways)
I heard a voice tell me to share it, ALSO most can have an urge to share their sin!! And then the demons let you spread your disease while God watches- wait… also that, the demons hate God
Sin goes depths of wrong, and so sometimes it’s so much for my brain to handle. I can’t even being to process Satans sin ENTIRELY…
Tell God to help you and give you strength (I have ADHD) and God has helped me stay focused in a lot of things. like right now!!
About the gospel thing, 100% me too? Not that it doesn’t work, because I don’t know how it really impacts them. But since people’s wills still exist im not sure they’ll pick God that easily or if they’ll pick him at all considering the state of humanity right now 🤨 all I wish you is that you realize whenever that SOME WILL LISTEN!! Some still will take the chance
You might know this but if you’ve heard it reminder that yeah, you can’t save everybody.
But attempting at least will be amazing because not only will you know you tried your best, but you followed the instructions of God letting them get a chance to listen and have faith!! If God came and told them it wouldn’t require faith because he’s right there in front of you.
But funny thing is that SOME WILL STILL NOT DECIDE TO TURNN!! NOT EVEN ATTEMPT! And it’s because the will is still there. All the demons need is your will, and that’s it
I shared it and I felt extremely guilty, after watching the video I realized how corrupt I became and I saw the views, and when I looked at it I realized I had fed other people’s demons a snack AND MAYBE EVEN A LAUGH. (They were definitely laughing)
How can you look at that and not feel bad? Only the people completely decieved and ignorant can
After that the lord said to change the account into a gospel one.
When you let one sin in, A BUNCH more come.
When you let lust in all the other sins come secretly.
The devil makes deals that will cost you something later!!
To anyone reading this remember, with everything you do always keep God on your mind.
What it means to keep his commandments in your heart is to remember his will, what he wants for your life. (His will is something you can depend on) when you remember his will and act on it, your life is going in the right direction.
God will tell you what is right to do, and you must follow him if you want to go the right way.
If you stop caring about being like everyone else and getting distracted and attracted to everything this world is offering you
And decide to care about wanting to do Gods will, praying to him to help you and get you through this, you will become who God made you to be.
Heaven is like a gift God hid for you, and because he’s the one who made it he’s the only way to find it.
Now that I think of it, you can do anything holy with the lord. You can have fun drawing with the Lord, and all that stuff. He can tell you what poses to draw and he can tell you how to be patient enough to wait for the process to show in your drawings. God can do anything! The way he does things is not anything we want, it’s the way he wants it. That way, it’s good. Because everything he wants is good, and everything we want isn’t always good. Whatever we want that is good is from the lord.

I always see the sin of lust not only in video games, books, or television series, but everywhere I go. I will not consider invoking the deadly sin of lust, nor pride; these can have serious consequences on our youth today, especially if it were for children.

I agree with all of these (which should already be a given but is not unfortunately in this world). It’s so sad how especially our generation completely romanticizes so much of this. You see songs saying horrific things about women’s bodies and people normalizing cheating, people normalizing bad grades and low effort and laughing it off, people seeing other’s people’s looks and destroying themselves over it, influencers and their egos, not turning an eye to thinks like being a “big back” and not sharing, people romanticizing the lifestyle of money over anything, crash outs and people talking about pulling guns out over minor confrontations . It’s so sad seeing it everywhere. Slowly I’ve been trying to cut myself off from all that, personally sloth is the hardest thing for me to overcome due to social media and my own lack of willpower. This video really helped me better conceptualize how harmful all of those sinful behaviors and thoughts are.
Hey, I think you’re absolutely on the right track! I really appreciate the effort you’re putting into raising awareness and helping people see things more clearly. That said, I wonder if it might be even more impactful to focus on showing what life in Christ looks like, rather than highlighting the ways of the world.
People already know a lot about the struggles and brokenness in the world. What they truly need is to see how they can live differently-how Christ offers hope, transformation, and a new way forward. By focusing on that, you can inspire and guide others to follow Him more closely.

Yeaaaaa Philly went wild.. they used to blow up ATMs and everything. I love that you used my city cause they were wild for that! Had every store closed.

I've been thinking about this quite often and to my surprise, your video found its way on my recommendations. I also realized how interconnected the seven deadly sins are. I often feel guilty because I too indulge in too much media and it seems impossible to escape from technology. Another thing is that I fear this generation will lose the favor of God. Gosh, May God have mercy upon us and give those who are willing to repent and turn back to Him.

In my opinion its envy because a lot of bad things people do are rooted in envy. People hoard money and are greedy because they envy/can't be less then their competitors in the business or life, people have sex with many people because they envy the attention others, and they can commit wrath because they envy others who are more comfortable and in-control of their life. First of all, I love this analysis; this really puts in perspective the 7 deadly sins also intercedes with each other and can be used even collectively. It's crazy how even these sins, as deadly as they are; are ironically given leeway and are permissible. Isaiah 5:20 'Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter'. It's quite sad it's seen as so "good" to be of evil. All backwards now, and it's very chilling

this was a great video!! since im pretty young and still new to Christianity, I have a few questions. 1. are these sins unforgivable? like if I was being lazy one day for no reason, would I never be forgiven? 2. If you are proud of an achievement and wanna share it with others, would that be pride? example: "Hey look I got a 100% on this test! Im really happy about it!" 3. Does anyone have any tips on how to not get jealous? Sometimes I will be talking to my friends, and they show me something that makes me jealous/have envy. example: "Oh btw Ally, I just got these new clothes! Im so excited to try them on!" and then in my head, I would usually be saying "oh those look so pretty, compared to ny clothes they suck.." but I will say out loud "Yeah those look cute!" or smth like that. I know thats not good to even be thinking because God sees and hears everything, so Im still being jealous/having envy. Im just trying to be more faithful and grateful to God. 1. Yes! All sins are forgivable, except for blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
2. No! Pride is an excessive self-focus and love of oneself. So, arrogance and thinking that you are above everyone and God would be prideful.
3. I would say to have self-compassion and stop focusing on comparing. Be grateful for what you do have. Read “Almost Zero” by Nikki Grimes if you can! I think that book can give you another perspective.

I feel like I struggle with greed, sloth, and envy. I don’t act on my jealousy and don’t plan to but it’s hard not to feel jealous. Sloth is my biggest one. I try not to be but oooh boy is it nice to sleep. I have Hashimotos thyroiditis which does NOT help. Idk if it came first but that chronic fatigue is so rampant. And as for greed, it’s hard not to at least be greedy in America where it’s basically dog eat dog economy. I still like to give to others and i love when I can buy gifts or tip people. However having ADHD makes it so hard to keep money with my “collector” mentality and my eagerness to try new things. I definitely would like to work on it but idk where to start
Should definitely look into different saving account options or investing options and read into the importance of those. Maybe look into accounts that aren't highly liquid. I also have ADHD and can be a bad hobby hopper, but changing my mindset about money has helped me limit myself. Easier said than done but taking an accounting class actually helped there.
@ I took accounting as well and actually had a job as an accountant bro that didn’t help Im still just as useful as a pocket with a hole in it. Comes in and leaves 😭😭 i mean that’s an exaggeration obv. I think the good thing is that I’m very picky about what I do buy. But if given a lot of options it will be tough and my only dopamine releases rn are when I experience something new and in college thd only “new” experiences are things I can buy since Im stuck on campus the whole time
