The whole digital part of the mixer was not to do with the faders, which were analogue, it was to do with the sound. I was misinformed about this at a DJ shop back in the day. The crossfader was actually a version of Vestax’s aftermarket CF-CC fader, which I believe was a plastic conductive fader, but unlike the aftermarket version, which had controls on the fader to adjust cut in, the controls for this on the 08 version were on the front of the mixer.
hi, on my old vestax pmc 5 pro.. one of the level meters needs replaced..i got a replacement but the old ones connector seems stuck.. when i try to pull it off..i got told it should just pull off but it is not budging.. is there a trick to getting the white plastic connector that has all the wires in it to come off where it's attached to the rest of the circuit without breaking the connector? I'm worried if i pull it too hard it might come off.. no double entendré intended any advice would be hugely appreciated
Very informative thanks mang!!!

just try to wiggle it off they can be difficult to get off or if you have a thin pick tool you can try that to loosen the clip
Aren’t the screws on the fader to adjust the contacts/tension?
unfortunately that is not what those screws are for ... this fader is a PCV fader all of the adjustments are done through the mixer itself ...
