A civilization that doesn’t document its history and culture is doomed to be lost and forgotten .
This is more than a story or a documentary, you’ve created an archive for generations to come. The labors of heroes past in the Nigerian tech ecosystem past will never be forgotten thanks to you ❤
this comment wins! my exact thoughts
Love this. I was disappointed when I watched Bloomberg did a documentary on Nigerian tech space and titled it "chaotic" and only talked about physical energy in Nigeria, so so much biases. Its good we tell our own stories by our selves. Keep it up peace. We are behind you.
Don't mind the racists at Bloomberg.
Thank you sooo much for watching everyone!
thanks for taking your time to do this. You're the best ;)
Thank you and your team❤ S.A
Peace you did very well ! Thank you and merry Christmas 🎄
Hi Peace. The background music is a bit too much. Mind looking into that for the next documentary? Thanks
no no, thank YOU. so much. so so so so much 🫶🏻
I see you guys! 😭😭 thank you for being here
🙌🙌♥️
Congratulations Peace
Thank you for this beautiful work. Truly inspiring.
The story of the Nigerian Tech Ecosystem has never been told this way before now.
Well done Peace Itimi, and thank you for your amazing work.
This is a great peace of work 👏👏
Congratulations to Peace and the FC Team 🎉
This is great work, Peace. Well done.
For staying till the end. Wow! Thank you
I imagine the time, resources, money, people, blood, sweat, and tears that went into this production. Well done. This is evergreen content. Thank you for this.
Cool documentary. I'm watching this in Zimbabwe. The Nigerian success is an African success. Andela employs Zimbabweans and other African nationalities so the success of Nigerian companies trickles down to the whole of Africa.
Peace Itimi, I give you your flowers 🌻Guys, let's gather here and give Peace Itimi her flowers.
Great video, just on one suggestion for me the background music was little distracting.
Peace be getting her $hmoney look at how she is shining 😂😂
I am pleased that we can narrate our African-Nigerian story without the biases of external influences.
The documentary I didn’t know I needed.. I’m definitely going to watch this again 👍🏽 ✨
Well done Peace and the team.. it’s been amazing watching your journey and I appreciate the effort you guys put into projecting stories within the tech ecosystem
This originally should be a Netflix movie. Such a masterpiece.
This is not just some "content" for me. It is an attempt to draw the blueprint for the future of Tech in Nigeria and Africa. Peace's work on this will never be forgotten. Thanks and I want to see more!
but these are FOREIGN OWNED institutions that are EXPLOITING the INTELLECTUAL brains of this continent because we ourselves, like GOVT and TERTIARY institutions are NOT USING these BRAINS to DEVELOP products that are NOT OWNED by the COLONIZERS! When they develop PAGA or MPESA as Nigerian or Kenya it MASKS the FACT that these are COLONIZER companies being run by OUR BRIANS!...but these BRAINS will NEVER OWN the PATENT for the PRODUCTS they DEVELOP!...that means only the COLONIZERS are BENEFITING! as they OWN the PATENT in PERPETUAITY benefiting their children but these TECH BRAINS pass on NOTHING to their childrens children...that is a TRAGEDY!!
Itimi, all I would say is THANK YOU. I hope someday we are all able to collectively give you your flowers. You are doing a lot for FREE to guide us in this tech ecosystem in Nigeria and the entire African continent.
For me, I look forward to a future where techprenuers are not just focused on building fintech apps, but also look into solving other problems we face in this space.
Spot on!
We’re coming. 😂 Fintech have open the gateway… more and more tech products will arise in no time
Great work! Its motivating to clearly see how far we have come and how far we are about to go. The ecosystem's transition is echoing optimization!
Well said!
I have immense respect for the Nigerian tech industry, witnessing its continual growth and proactive approach in tackling new challenges is truly remarkable. The innovative methods they employ are inspiring. I also hold great admiration for the achievements of the Andela Mafia.

This documentary just reinforced my biggest dream that hope is still here. That the young people will rescue Nigeria and Nigerians from the fangs of these old folks.
Stop decieving yourself
@jayo3074 stop trying to instill hopelessness
@@Speedofdark339 I'm sorry but I genuinely have no hope for Nigerian. Until the youth rise and start a revolution nothing will change.
@@jayo3074 it's sort of happening right now with all the diaspora
@@Speedofdark339 the only thing diasporans can do is come and bring their skills and knowledge to start businesses and develop industries but real serious change will require government involvement. Diasporans are not going to build the roads, provide stable electricity, reduce inflation, reduce food prices, these are things that the government control not diasporans
Pls, can you edit the description of this documentary...Add the names of the speakers and their startups.
Thank you
Thanks for the feedback!
I'm a Congolese 🇨🇩 business enthusiast. Wow! What an inspiring documentary, I loved watching it and learned from everyone featured.

Absolutely amazing documentary. Lovely to see the OGs tell their story of how Nigeria's tech space has grown. I can imagine the amount of work needed to put this together. Big ups Peace 👍

With this you've written your name in the sands of time.
Let's say, this is the Interswitch of media story of Nigerian tech ecosystem
Just finished the documentary - incredibly impressed and inspired! Peace Itimi, you've done a fantastic job showcasing the Nigerian tech dream. Even if one is familiar with African tech, this stands out. The well-structured content justifies the nearly two-hour duration. This documentary will undoubtedly be a benchmark for the next decade, serving as a great starting point for more stories on African tech startups. Kudos, Peace Itimi! 👏
This is solid! Peace!!!! A must see for everyone
Excellent Documentary, this Incredible Story had to be told🎉🎉🎉🎉
The Government needs to level up on Tech as they improve electricity generation, They need to build infrastructure for tech too (Servers, data centres, networking infrastructures, operating systems, cloud services, security systems and softwares). Too much money going into the military can be used for this innovations by our military (aside weapons they should be creative). We have not reach there yet, nothing to celebrate. A case study is Nairaland that was banned by a foreign host because we donot have the infrastructure in place. We can control Africa and the world with this infrastructure aforementioned.
Amazing Work Peace, Love from Burundi, east African.
Please DO THE SOME ON THE NOLLYWOOD AND FILM BUSINESS ALSO.... Movies makers.... Cinéma owners etc

Thank you for putting this together @peace itimi. So many amazing people have truly invested in Nigeria and Africa at large.

It can be titled, THE ORIGIN OF THE NIGERIAN TECH ECOSYSTEM.
Ope Awo should be in this
Well done Peace, Joyce and the entire team!
Can’t wait to see this
This is the most inspiring video I've seen about Africa's Tech Industry ! Thank you for documenting this Journey. I'm from Democratic Republic of Congo, 21 years Old, a developer full of dreams... This video has just shown me that IT IS POSSIBLE. We're far from what Nigeria has accomplished so far but WE ARE COMING'.
Thank you, Peace. This is really awesome 💯. Many people need to understand the basis, lots of things that made the Nigeria tech ecosystem what it is today...and this documentary definitely gave us that. Well done Peace Itimi.
With apologies to CM ADICHIE: The Safety of Many (Innovation&Tech) Stories. Thank you.
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL AND IT COMES WITH DEEP EMOTIONS
I’ve never seen a piece of visuals more beautiful and inspiring. Well done guys!!!❤️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you Peace for this. We have so much history that has paved the way for the future.
A few visionaries in a corner, creating things that have affected the quality of lives of a hundred thousand others.
The background music is a distraction. I’m signing off at watching 15 minutes.
ODUN (Co-founder Piggyvest) is a just too smart. "there isn't any special reason why you do it" "You will adopt it anyways"
Honestly, this documentary just makes me really admire the founders that built companies when adoption of technology was slow, but are still existing today! How did they cope😭?
Truly inspiring! Optimistic about the future of Africa.
I find this totally amazing. Get to understand where we are coming from, and the inspiration behind is a big asset to where we are going to. I'll be glad to share my story in time to come together with all what you are putting out as a part of it. Thank you Peace Itimi
!
Great job Peace🤝🏻...
I can literally see the massive amount of effort it took to put this entire bits together .. A big well-done to you and your team👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Now, I've been transcribing this a while.
I believe a conference or meeting on these issues could be held internationally.
Though I'm not done, the history being poured out here is nothing short of amazing and thrilling!❤
Amazing and interesting to watch. Thank you Peace for putting this together and making sure this history is captured
Very informative, thankyou. Agree with the black 2 black investments grow for the African ecosystem. It´s often white folks investing and now is time for something new. Also the digital assets regulation for trusting a decent job and the consequences of scaling businesses since no one can look into the future, it´s always based on someone´s motivation, choices and dedication. Goodluck and all the blessings.
Awesome story, Peace. Keep the good work. Wished Seun Osewa of Nairaland was here.
Nice documentary, my only problem is the background music...I wish it could be tuned down a little bit

This is an award winning piece of very tasteful work.. You just know it when you see it! When I see works like this, I delve into analyzing the depth of work that went into it... From getting a schedule that works for every participant, to scripting the right questionnaires that speak to the heart of the matter, then orchestrating the story to run seamlessly and naturally, my one word would be- BRILLIANTLY-OUTLANDISH! Sorry I yelled it out... Thanks @PeaceItimiofficial, you know you're a breath of fresh air...
