  • Hi guys! Today I'm gonna talk about neurodivergence & hyperfixation, as well as special interests and what it's like being neurodivergent! Neurodiversity is becoming more accepted in society, and I'm so grateful. I thought I'd make a video explaining hyperfixations the way I expereince them, and I hope you'll learn something & maybe relate too!!
As a girl with Tourette's, I would love to spread awareness and education about my disorder, as I feel it is quite misunderstood in today's society. The media has made it out to be a swearing disorder only, which is far from true. I hope this video will educate you on Tourette Syndrome and tic disorders! Life with Tourettes can be difficult, but just know that we're the same as everyone else...except for the fact we tic like clocks! (:
    Thanks for watching!

I resonate with this so much! I get what you're saying with the photo album thing. I have a bunch of photos and videos on my phone related to mine.

thank you so much for this. ive always switched between hyperfixations for as long as i can remember and i wasn't aware it was linked to my TS. i was diagnosed at a very young age so i never really comprehended what TS was and all of the symptoms that go beyond ticcing. thanks so much and keep doing what you're doing ❤️

When i think of hyper-fixation i think of repairing something at high speed. The use of this word for anything else is going into poor interest.
We need to do away with , or get an offiçal alternative use for the word hyperfixation. It is becoming a insult and condemnation to child development.
We will now replace hyperfixation with hyperfisation. Its humane

Harry Potter was mine for years. I knew all the spells/potions names and purposes. I knew all the lines from the movies. I knew the books so well that I could tell you which chapter a specific scene was in. I don’t remember all those things anymore, but it’s obvious to me now how much of a hyperfixation that was for me.
