    The way you make the nacelle grilles light up before the jump should be one of those things that ascends from fanon to canon!

      They lit up on the refit in TMP when they went to warp

    That was OUTSTANDING!!!!
    A great mix of TOS and TMP Enterprise bits, as well as some new stuff.
    And it was amazingly smooth in animation and effects!!

    One of the coolest, most dynamic warp effects I've seen.

    Great job on the ship! I built her myself recently, inspired by the mention of Star Trek in For All Mankind, and some BTS info from the producers indicating that Phase II got made in that alternate timeline. I wanted to see the show so badly all of a sudden!

    I've been watching all your videos after stumbling into the Enterprise vs Excelsior full video and that you add almost hidden extra attentions to detail. Is one of them in this, a slight Rotoscoping drift as the planet passed behind the Enterprise?
    Made this feel like it was done when Phase II could have happened.

    oooh, can I ask how you do those warp trails?

    • @Destructor111
      @Destructor111 6 месяцев назад +5

      You have to detune the flux-chillers slightly to resonate with the warp plasma intercoolers next door. On that particular model of warp nacelle, the pressure vent valves will rattle open when the frequency is just right. The discharge of the warp field coils as the field is established provides the final kick and you get the light-show as the ship accelerates. The plasma loss is negligible, but it's still considered a bit show-y by fleet engineers. Scott gets away with it because he's a legend.

      Simple textured geometrics with two gradients, one for the start of the streak, one for the end. :)

      Ah I see.
      ....
      Okay I do not, is that the same as geometry nodes? I need to learn how those work 😅
