Nice to see you doing a project that doesn't have a high sanity cost Tim 👍 I was thinking that perhaps you could mount a mesh front and back of the blades (like on an office fan) but seeing it in place I don't think those would be really necessary plus they would probably have a fair impact on the performance.
Any reason you didn’t go for solar, for example mounted on the guardrail each side of the cockpit. I’ve got 100w panel on one side and last summer I spent a month at anchor, on buoys without plugging in a marina. Like you a fridge, internal lights and charging devises etc. keep the great videos coming
Think I will end up doing the same but wasn't settled on how I would mount solar at the time so decided to start with a wind turbine and add solar later
The brackets at the bottom of the wind doodad pole. You could've flipped one 180 degrees if they didnt rest on their support too well. Late comment, but ive only just found you!
The little look of disappointment when it didn't first spin into life was sad 😢 am glad it kicked into life pretty soon after.
Awesome job!

GREAT ADVICE
No problem 👍

Probably a bit late now, but you could have turned the foot brackets inwards and mounted them without needing to fibreglass 😂
Lol, that is a really good point, 🤦♂️
not sad about it though as I quite like fibreglassing and it gives it a bit of a stronger base.
You will want more power 😂 ,How’s the pooch ? 👍🦘
Haha probably! We'll see how we get on with this and go from there .... Skylar is doing well 👍
