This house has been a BIG nuisance for the neighbors. There have been squatters living inside for quite a while and the lawn was ok until it all of a sudden became out of control.

I was thinking about that when Spencer was clearing the sidewalks. I couldn't understand how a municipality doesn't clear the sidewalks for safety reasons.
@@trying2survive602 in most places it's "usually" the home owners responsibility to clear sidewalks & do general yard maintenance & they can be fined if they don't take care of it. The city only comes in if a fallen tree, tall grass or whatever is on "city property" & is a "saftey hazard"..
This video is mislabeled. He was told and said the house was empty. How can you say squatters trashed the house?
I take offense blaming them for the overgrown yard. People squat a house because it sits vacant and they can't find an affordable place to rent. Not all squatters are criminals.

I’ve seen videos where people come in while the owner is on vacation, break the lock & set up a homestead.
They have no paperwork to prove they’re allowed on the property, just broke the locks & sat down.
The police can’t do anything, so it’s at least 90 days before you can evict them. HOW IS THIS A THING????
It’s your attention to details that set you above the rest. Not only do you find and clean off the sidewalk, but you take care of the weeds by the curb and in the road. Very impressive work!

The blanket of clippings will keep things from growing back
a foot tall within a month- Spencer knows what he's doing.
It's doubtful that anyone from the neighborhood will follow
up at any of these places, even though it would be relatively
easy to run a rider machine over it now that he has it all knocked
down.
I’m always amazed at the lack of city care of public footpaths. So dangerous especially for those using wheelchairs, Mums pushing prams, anyone in fact who is at risk. A big thank you for getting the footpath back to shape. Blessings from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤❤😊😊😊😊

I have watched several lawn restoration programs, yet still prefer your methods and results. I agree on the attention to detail as well. I find it difficult to identify to those yards in Florida as I have never gardened there and the grasses are so different, but I do enjoy Midlife from Michigan for his above and beyond. You are from my state and it just feels like home watching you. I used to love gardening and even mowing when my military husband was gone, so you and your videos are a great reminder. *not that I let things go that long* I also want to mention the fact you leave the planted flower beds like irises and Naked Ladies rather than mow them flat as some others do. At one time, someone loved this house. Thank you and Blessings on your efforts!

You must have the patience of a saint. Two corners! That is a lot if edging. It has to be so satisfying for you to see the before and after. Not many people see the end results of their hard work. This is a magnificent improvement for the neighborhood. I thank you, on their behalf, for the commitment to the neighborhood, and all the others to which you have brought a certain sense of pride.

Great Job again Spencer! Your channel remains my favorite because you always post consistently, even throughout the winter months. You don't use any excuses like weather or it being the off season, like I've seen a lot of the other guys do time and time again(even though they live in much warmer climates lol). You plan ahead and have videos recorded in advance so you always have one to post every week. It's no wonder you have the most subscribers of all the "lawn channels". Love the video - but AGAIN, not one neighbor could muster up some time and cut the grass. Amazing.
That's always my question as I watch lawn care videos. If the overgrown yard is so disturbing to neighbors, WHY hasn't anyone at least knocked down the tall grass?
Why should it become their responsibility? Once or twice helping, which they might have, you don’t know! I am more upset that these abandoned properties are not maintained by owners, banks etc.

I have family that lives in the same city as you… You, Juggernaut, and Bladez are all inspiring and through that inspiration I wanted to do something for my neighborhood. I discovered beautiful brickwork in front of my house and set out to uncover it which led to me uncovering so much more. I was partly through a section then I had an unrelated injury that has stopped all progress. I hope one day I would be able to work with you on something.
I find cleaning is cathartic, which is why I think I enjoy these videos so much. Bringing order to chaos. Another fun project that's well edited.

It’s pretty cold right now and I have no grass to mow. After nearly 60 years I have discovered that I actually like mowing and trimming, always thought I hated it. So watching you makes sense to me now…. It doesn’t hurt that you are doing a great thing for your neighborhood and the people that live there. I will pick on you for not picking up the clippings. One thing I love about SB mowing is that they fast forward their videos and save a lot of time watching.
Some of these mowing videos lasted 30 minutes to an hour. It's really boring.
I watch it at 2x soeed
better than watching "golf" (I played it for 20+ years and still cant watch it without falling asleep)!

It is becoming quite the thing to watch yard makeovers! They have been evolving somewhat!
It used to be a mow and weeding was enough but now it's been becoming a work of art. Good isn't good enough. Clippings and yard stuff is collected. Minor yard problems are fixed and everything is hauled off. You did a really nice job for what you did. 😊
