  • The season for cutting interest rates has finally begun. Recently the world has seen cuts by ECB and FOMC; just this week rates have been cut by both Czech and Hungarian central banks. This leaves Poland as the strange outlier, but - as Chief Macro Analyst for CEE region at Erste Group points out - there are reasons behind this. Katarzyna Rzentarzewska also analyzes the weak growth in the region and explains why the Polish currency will remain strong throughout 2025.
