I grew up as a pastor's kid, and my dad was a worship pastor who used to sing and play guitar. He often sang this song, but I didn't appreciate it until I became a Christian a few years ago. God's name should be glorified because we are nothing without him. My life felt empty, and I didn't truly understand who God was until my mid-30s when I finally stopped running and surrendered my life to him. I started gaining talents overnight. Before that, I felt like I was wasting my life. I am passionate about worship because I have experienced a remarkable transformation, and I want to keep that going and draw closer to God. Our possessions, gifts, and talents come from God; we should give him the glory and praise for everything we have. Without him, we are empty. Salvation and eternal life are gifts from God that come from trusting in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, repenting of your sins, turning your back on your own ways, and living for him. If you're running from him and feeling empty, it's never too late to turn to him and find salvation in Jesus Christ.
