Hey still amazing he's getting up there in age I seen him back in the nineties and got to meet him he is an incredible person he's just awesome one of my top guitar players ever
This was so much fun. My first ever cruise, and it was a blast. Just seeing Schenker play on a ship, and then seeing him walking about, and eating with his wife, Emi in the Windjammer. What an awesome experience that I'll never forget! I cant wait to see those photos from the photo experience!
Amazing as he always is! Wish I could have been there to see him. Everyone keeps talking about the great new Nuno Bettencourt solo on Rise (and it definitely is great), especially the muted parts, well look at 5:43 and 6:24 to Michael's famous muted parts. Sometimes people forget about the originals/pioneers. I still contend that the best recorded solo ever is Michael's in Rock Bottom from Strangers in the Night. Heck, the whole album/disc/whatever is one big solo!
I think the other new Extreme tracks like Banshee are much more interesting and while Schenker is certainly a pionier, this track is still a bit boring compared to the new Extreme tunes which just have more energy and symbiosys between all the instruments and vocals, it’s not just the guitar but also that these guys can all sing.

Seriously, I get that you have your opinion and it sounds like you enjoy Extreme's harmonies, which is cool. It's new music and it's good, but I was simply comparing guitarists (although I like Ronnie Romero over Gary Cherone as well). I appreciate Nuno, however Michael is still the master.
@@grtxyz4358 Michael is almost 70. Remind me Nunos age? Just to say, we shouldn’t compare those amazing artists. I guess you like shredding and Schenker can play fast but not like your hero. But I think there would be no Nuno without Schenker. Just two different areas. We have to respect them not compare. Just my two cents
@@rainerpawellek1292 Nuno’s main influence is Eddie… Nuno would still be doing what he does if there were no Schenker… I do like to listen to Schenker too, but to suggest he would take the place of Extreme… hmm. I don’t think so. Extreme has great songs, great playing and great musicians. It’s not just Nuno, they’re all playing and singing great…
@@grtxyz4358 I never said he would take Nunos place. The only influence of Van Halen in his playing is the tapping thing. I mean if you read amazing guitarists influenced by Schenker. I don’t say Nuno was. I tried to listen to their last album and after a couple of tunes found myself putting on Walk on water by UFO. It’s just a matter of personal taste. For example Vinnie Moore took Michael’s place in UFO. He’s an amazing shredder but it just doesn’t work for me. For me UFO is Mogg and Schenker and you are perfectly right that Michael wouldn’t fit in extreme. To each his own

Banshee is not interesting they use the girls Girls girls rhythm.nunos tone is lost..Gary does not have a good hard rock voice..no sorry 💌📫
