  • It's been a long time coming but we finally did it. Actually I should say I finally uploaded a new video. We purchased our new property several months ago. Just wanted to kick the tires a little before taking everyone on a little tour.
    Hope you enjoy!!!

Congrats, looking forward to the remodel. Take advantage of the child labor.....ummm.... teaching moments for your children. They may not enjoy it, but they will learn useful skills. Hated having to help my dad whilst fun could be had, but now I rarely have to call a professional to fix common home repairs.

Teaching moments...yeah...that's the ticket. Hehe. I've always said children will remember the time you spent with them but rarely will they remember the things spent on them.

I'm guessing that my standards aren't real high:-). I love the house and I see it being really sharp in a year!

You mentioned well water. I have well water, I don't like how it tastes. I fill up a jug and let it sit for a day or two and I no longer notice that well water flavor. I don't know if this would work for you. God bless!!

Yup. Well water. Not a big fan myself. Glad to know I'm not the only one. We put a whole house filter on and then I installed a reverse osmosis filter at the kitchen sink for drinking water. I never knew chlorine made such a huge difference. Peace.

Curious, what sold you guys on the place? Best of luck on the remodel. Looking forward to the vids.

The decision was multifaceted. It had some good about it and some not so good. The main thing was it kept us in Florida at a time when housing is hard to come by at a reasonable price range. We were able to pick it up for cash at a price that allowed us an out if we end up not liking it here. I was thinking about making a video at some point going more in depth about why we bought where we did and how our plans changed as time went along. Good question.
