  • Our visit to Ausable Chasm NY completely blew our minds. Not only is Aubable chasm New York one of the longest-running natural attractions in the United States, but it's also one of Upstate New Yorks's most visited tourist sites.
We joined the Ausable Chasm crew and spent a day visiting the Ausable Chasm bridge, exploring the canyon trails, and braving the rapids on the Ausable Chasm river rafting tour.
I want to give a big thanks to the team at Ausable Chasm for inviting us along. Make sure to like and subscribe for more adventure family travel videos.

People forget that NY is more then just NYC and it’s 5 boroughs. It is truly a beautiful place to tour all over. There are so many great escapes that’ll feel like you’re in a different world. That gorge is over 500 million years old. You’re rafting in a piece of incredible history.

We used to vacation in Plattsburgh NY every summer. From Mid 1960's to mid 1970's & my Grandfather used to work at Ausable Chasm. We lived in South Eastern Michigan. My father used to work there as a kid growing up. I have many memories of this place & Lake Champlain.

That’s fantastic! Plattsburgh is a cool place. Wonderful scenery and lots to do. My kids loved checking out all of the planes.

The gorge was Not eroded, it’s a product of a separation in the strata from and earthquake or two, a fault line crack
