I have to say - Tomorrow I am writing exam on my second last structural analysis module and you are really saving my @ss here. Thank you so much! People like you, PatrickJMT and Sal fro Kahn academy really make a difference in education today! I think you guys are sort of famous....
You learn so much more from watching these videos! College Professors always have the thought in their heads that anything that comes out of their mouths, students are automatically going to "get it", and when they teach they often talk too fast.
11 yeas an old video clip but it's still off the hook. I will have an exam in a couple hours, and there still is an example which is in my lecture and I cannot figure it out. However, this is the best solution for my lecture!
+structurefree. dary! legendary lol but nah, ur more like ted than barney hahaha or maybe u can try explaining some stuffs in ur vids using barney's catchphrases like "1 +1 = wait for it...2!" f u really want to b lyk him lol. challenge accepted??? hahaha btw, thank u so much sir :-)
hey, i really really need help on our bridge proposal...it's a indeterminate compound truss design and we need to calculate the moving loads... what's the difference between moving loads and influence lines? we also have another proposal about a three storey frame that have side -sway ..it needs to be calculated by Monday.. I really need urgent help, hope we can communicate in skype my username is jairemic ...thank you so much for consideration!
You lost me at Step 3: "apply unit displacement in place of action." Why did you go up by one unit and then draw a linear line back to zero? Based on your video #22, if a unit load was moving from A to B, wouldn't it just be a constant 1 if we were calculating the sum of forces in the Y direction? Fy = By (since Ay no longer exists due to Step 2)?
your videos are short, straight to the point, and easy to understand! thank you so much!
You had me at the chika chika at the start, instantly subscribed. Finally, some one who knows how to not make shit dry AF
