- The Dozen have a mission to kill a German general who intends to assassinate Hitler, on the premise that if he succeeds the war will be prolonged. The plan reaches it's climax in this scene, with Hitler also in range of the marksman, and there's only one shot. Which one does he go for? Taken from the 1985 movie 'The Dirty Dozen: The Next Mission'.

I'm out of the sin-bin mate (for now lol) and back here at yours in ladz-own himmel again; there's no place I'd rather be!! And there are few better scenarios than watching the fittest Dozen squad ever to take the field go in hard - sheathed in that fantastic as f**k opposition strip and with MP's all round - to give the boys in Grey a hammering. Sharpshooter Dregors is a class act - I love the 0:07 focus on his business end, and as Dietrich's naughty dream ends in spatter on the Boss Goon's face, I ask myself was it Sergeant Schwarz's job to check behind that f**king wall?! lol. There's disorder in the Goon ranks as the Dozen - united on the toss - target the pack with their explosive loads. That's a cracking hande-hoch surrender from the KO'd trooper at 0:16 and I fkn love to see 'eyes-on-the prize' Sixkiller charging into 'em on the spray at 0:30.
The match-fit Goon frontman at 0:34 always catches the eye for remaining solid under fire and for his 'toss, shoot, repeat' mentality throughout. That superb pouted, one-handed discharge at 0:37 gets it's just deserts as does blast fallout trooper 0:50 - caught out squatting in a bid to escape on Boss Goon's departing staff car. Vorwärts! That ace combination of high-flyer 'n' dive out exits from the MG42 crew at 1:10 after Sixkiller deposits one in their nest commands respect, and I fkn love about-turn Sergeant Valentine's venomous MP35 assault on the aircrewmen at 1:17 (Ugh! Outstanding - esp the load-shooting facials and the spread-eagle kick out by the Goon on the right).The kill-zone is fkn littered with Goon dead and the mounting assault trooper casualties as they drop like flies in the teeth the Dozen's sustained bullet 'n' blast firestorm from 1:21 is such hard viewing A.
Awwwmate CHiPSy 'n' Co's 'charge of the grunt brigade' assault on the loot truck from 1:39 is fkn priceless. The head banging 'n' sideways exit from the flatbed trooper as he takes their combined load: the "This ain't no dream..."/"Let's go for it" squad-talk: the Goonz landing their first blow and seeing CHiPSy prone topside - boots aired 'n' spread as he looses one off into the cab... And then the the 1:54 sight of jog-on Sixkiller spraying '42 load from the hip to butcher that entire flank-side squad of troopers in their positions... What a passage of play - it's ladz-own at it's very best!!
The on-the-job grit from CHiPSy at 2:03 and best lad vocals at the death go to trooper who takes the load in grimaced surrender mode at 2:04. Sixkiller's on fire as he blasts 'n' scythes down the next wave assault troopers from 2:09 with under fire CHiPSy contributing a load to score that stunning counterpunched double at 2:26 before he muscles onto the plane (nice!!).
You've got to feel for Otto - KO'd at 2:34 by a distant cuz perhaps; he's looking all slack-jawed, spent force when Reisman checks him out. The Goonz look rampant (despite the evidence of their heavy spent load at 2:44) after taking SixKiller's scalp at 2:47, and there are clearly still plenty of jackboots on the ground as they take some ground and flex some military muscle on the toss. I'm not sure which Dozen lad gets the full force of the blast at 2:59, but that is a cracking lad-spread finish, and as the Goonz finally find their range (woefully too late lol) with that tidy brace at 3:08, trooper 3:09 defo deserves a mention in despatches for the exemplary 'fire in the belly' attitude he displays in landing the fatal blow (I think) on poor Dregors. Love the Goon landing gear at 3:22 of course and the closing shots of the surviving Dozen lads (having hauled their a*ses onto the plane lol) as they go out in a 3:28 blaze of glory having a last crack at our load-letting troopz squatting on the turf.
Soz to bang on A, but that is such a cracking watch; I'd forgotten just how many losses the Goonz take and the intensity of this condensed format is fkn breathtaking .🤪I think I need a re-run and then a final hit of 'slow'. Thanks for putting in the hard yards mate - you've more than done us proud!!!
It's very definitely like they say mate, you can't keep a good man down and it's ace to have you back where you belong, firing on all cylinders and giving them it hard like all good (and bad!) Goonz like it!
They are very definitely a well-turned out group this set of ne'er do wells ain't they, and just like those before and those after, they take no messing when it comes down to all-out he-man action.
It was touch and go who to go for with two such tempting targets in the cross-hairs but even though he escaped Boos Goon got some spatter for his troubles and that's the least he deserved for starting the whole shebang off in the first place. It was definitely high levels of incompetency at play here J and you could be right on the point of blame, Schwarz it is for the bullet coz the security around this place is shocking lol. Once the shooting gets underway it's chaos all round and they're even throwing up their hands in surrender mode mate, but these lads take no prisoners, no least Sixkiller spraying his load liberally from the hip.
0:34 is definitely the pin-up Goon as he tosses off in style around the 0:34 mark and how is that for a quick dispatch at 0:37 - fuck yeah! Boss Goon was taking no passengers on the highway to hell as 0:50 soon discovered, tossed unceremoniously as he was by the fallout. 1:10 were not for hanging around for the afters lol and it's good to see the Luftwaffe get a share of some of that hot lead flying about as the flyboys are dispatched in no time, with a special mention indeed for the artistic merits of Franz on the right, taking his share with some style. Ughhh indeed! 1:21 is just the beginning mate and that is going to take some clearing, that's for sure. It's a massacre J!
Who needs Ponch when Chipsy can spray like this mate and 1:32 is very definitely nodding in agreement as his upper torso is riddled to fuck, and he's not for messing with the driver either, who makes a rather hasty exit from the truck before you can say "gesundheit"! I reckon that's four in one burst Sixkiller takes out at 1:54 and this boy is on a mission mate. Someone in grey has sure upset this fella down the line lol
Chipsy grits his teeth and sprays and 2:04 doesn't disappoint as he takes his delivery in style - ooooooohhhhh!!!!!! And how fucking cool does he look as he lets rip around the 2:27 mark, scything 'em down with his chopper Billy-big-Bawz style before boarding the plane with some grace no less lol.
Hands up I'm fucked at 2:34 and by the look on his face his end was instant. Rampant Goonz are my thing J and they are like a bunch of Millwall boot boys seeing red around the 2:44 mark but it's likely to end in relegation to the ranks of the dear departed if the course of the days events continue as they have so far. Sadly our man has fired off his last load around the 2:47 mark and that's just a little compensation for an otherwise shocking day for the Goonz mate, with some sharp follow-ups soon after, though 3:09 is not fatal (they get him on the plane to safety, I just cut that bit out lol).
Nice view at 3:22 and it's another rout for the bad-ladz mate, they never learn do they?!

I really had forgotten how many Goon troopers get wasted in this one A; the short game video format here - without that comedy interlude at the piano (although I'd have enjoyed seeing the gruntz in Grey trying to get that onto the plane lol) - is so hard hitting 'n' intense.
Yeah - it's always a bonus when both squads run out in Goon kit and with Goon hardware, and considering who was on the guest list, the perimeter security was possibly a little relaxed lol. I reckon scharfschütze Dregors could have got a 2 for 1 package deal on his top brass headshot - but we know the thinking behind leaving the incumbent gaffer at the helm to really f**k things up for Team Goon lol.
Mate that Dozen onslaught is clinical 'n' (0:37's single-hand strike for example) merciless - I really feel it for those Goon bullet 'n' blast punchbags. Fly boy Franz deserves top honours for the way he took one for the team, while star striker 0:34 and stormtrooper 3:09 defo make their mark here. Sixkiller 'n' CHiPsy (Ponch was always second-string for me lol) take a massive trooper toll I'm giving Sixo a quintuple for his 'chainsaw' massacre by giving him the benefit of the doubt on the spent trooper with his knee raised to the right of the main group at 1:57 lol and I fkn love your 'Billy-big-Bawz' take on Chipo's chopper handling skills. Millwall boot boys seeing red is a top analogy of the Goonz belated ascendancy, and I should have defo mentioned the impactful review of the Dozens' spent load at the close. I remember the Dozen getting injury time victim Dregors onboard, but I'm fairly certain that he succumbed to his wounds mid-air: it could have been the in-flight catering that got him though - that Goon Air service looked very 'no frills' lol.

It's a massacre in this one J, they really were twatted and no mistake, but at least they know how to die and we can't say they didn't give it their best shot at least. Soz there was no tinkling of the ivories in this one, but if there had been I somehow think 'The Funeral March' would have been the order of the day, with 'The Last Post' to follow soon after. Both sides definitely dressed for the occasion and no Dozen ever looked better than this tidy set. I would have gone for the quick one-two on headshots at the start but I guess he knew what he was doing lol.
0:34 is the pin-up on the Goonz team J with Fly-boy Franz my fave kill (I love it when the Luftwaffe or KM get some of the Heer/SS style treatment from the lads, why should they miss out on all the fun?!). Ponch was definitely relegated to the ranks of the also-rans for me when it came to 'CHiPs' too mate but Jon never looked better than here as he sprays his load, he was much too soft in his earlier guise lol. I'd forgotten Dregors signed off for good on the homeward journey (yeah, those Ryan Air flights are a killer mate!) but the guy did the biz and we can't ask for more.

@@foreverblueclassics LOL rest assured mate - everything was as it should be regards my stance. Yeah - the Goon Division take a hammering here, but they don't get wiped out for once and there are still plenty of boots on the ground at the final whistle to get stuck in to the clean-up of their massive spent load lol. Amazing body count in thus movie. I like the individuality of the death poses... no cookie-cutter kills... virtually every one unique in some way. Which wasn't easy, considering the number of casualties.
2:34 was a favorite... his rag-doll surrender to death was hot. As a bonus, we got to see him rolled belly-up for a closer look. Handsome guy, not that the bullets give a damn about that.
And a haunting ending, with the plane taking off and the camera cutting back to the dead men left behind. Effective.
Sometimes I feel sequels are put at a disadvantage, always facing the inevitable comparisons to the original. But often times, if viewed for its own merits and entertainment value, it stands a better chance of being appreciated. That's how I feel about thus film.
Yes, 2:34 is a great kill, done for dramatic effect indeed. I agree on the movie itself. It's not as good as the original, not by a long way. But watch it on its own merits and you'll have a great amount of fun!
