I apologize that you feel misled! I call it a 'stitch' as that is how the technique is referred to in cross stitch which was my main inspiration for this look/outcome
i used to cross stitch a ton, but i can’t see that well now, so i had to stop. this looks like a great alternative though, should be fun. saving it for those long winter evenings for sure. thanks for sharing ❤
I've been trying for pixel crochet for a while. This is great! Thanks for the tips for making the squares look full (smaller hook, double-thick X stitch)
Although I thought it was going to be a crochet stitch (to me it looked like a bobble stitch to make the pixels), it's a great idea I'll try it Thanks for sharing
This is awesome in every way possible!!! I had heard of tunisian crochet in the past but never thought anything of it or looked into it. Here because I wanted to learn how to put pixel art on top of crochet... your sample is SOOOOOOO CUUUUUUUTE!!! 😍 I wanna try this, so I guess I'm gonna have to look into tunisian crochet, the tools needed and where to get them, and also how to pronounce 'tunisian' as well LOL!!! 🤣 If you would consider doing a small sample and demonstration of the entire process of this technique in a future video, that would be absolutely EPIIIIIIIC! It would be a great one stop watch for those of us who are visual and auditory, and don't want to go searching elsewhere for instructions on how to create the featured project. Your sample was so cute! Fawn 💕
Ok but which stitch is the base? Id love to see a full process where you show how to convert images to pixel art/crosstitch patterns, then how to make the base (cream) fabric, then the actual application of method. I want to make my son a mincraft creeper pillow and this would be perfect!
The base stitch is called tunisian simple stitch! RUclips can provide an easy tutorial to make it, although you might need to buy a special hook that's longer to make a pillow.
@@lanasolos_ I have a full set of t-hooks I bought them with the over confident belief that I could totally figure it out lol. Im getting there its just taking a wee bit longer than I thought it would. Thank you for the info, I will search away.

So i made the cross stich for the base color too?
Yes!
Do u have to block the piece for it to lay flat 🤔
nope! after you've done all of your cross stitching it will lay flat; i did not block the strawberry piece in the video
