I saved this video so that I can make a binder with all of these pantry staple recipes. I am really good about using and rotating our pantry on an everyday basis but I remember when we had the ice storm a few years ago I really had to think and remember my "camp" cooking to get meals on the table. It would also work out well to have a few recipes in the meals in a bin that I am going to create as a grab and go box in an emergency. Thank you
I'm glad you found some means that you and your family might like. We live in the Northeast and have lost power from ice storms many times. (Many times for more than a few days). These meals are great because I know that my family will eat them (and like them!) And they are easy to make! 😊💜
Great ideas for many.. it may be just my opinion but I think most people aren't accustomed to making bread, biscuits, potpies or cooking from scratch in general. Again.. awesome ideas for anyone in a pinch 👍💐
I have made a few meal kits already but your video gave me a few more ideas. I also appreciate the substitution suggestions if I don't have the same exact thing. Presentation was great also.
Thanks! Great ideas. And I will also be mixing home canned meats and veggies in with store-bought foods. I’ve also made pot pies using Jiffy-type biscuit or cornbread mixes with just water, making it on the thinner side, and pouring it over pot pies, or chili, etc. Leave empty spots for the casserole to bubble up. The “topping” swells up and makes a nice crust on your casserole.
Do the mini taco shells last long term on the shelf? Seems like they would get stale like chips do. I think I would sub Mexican style corn bread, mix it an put in bottom of skillet, layer remaking items and cook like a casserole. Just an idea.

Thanks! That is exactly what I was hoping when I made this video!

Such a fantastic video idea Friend! Really enjoyed it and look forward to more 👏👍🏻😘
Thank you for these interesting ideas!
You're very welcome 💜
In a pinch i've used ketchup, mustard and a bit of brown sugar to make a "not so " sloppy joe sauce when money was tight and my boys were little. 😊
good ideas, I'm also looking for meal kits like this to donate to a local food bank, you have some great meals here for that!
I'm glad you found some you may like! That's a great idea for food banks!! (Also for blessing boxes if you have them in your community!)
Good ideas
Thanks! 😊
You can also get canned nacho cheese and queso blanco.
It is not recommended to can dairy. But freeze dried does a nice job.
You are so creative with these meals! Thank you!
👍😊
I'd appreciate a list of each bag with their contents in the description

The expiration date is just over a year. I plan to rotate these all out within about 6 months or so.
Please get to it
