    Great review!I wish The P20i had the same light output modes as The MH10S. Loving the MH10s.I just bought the new Klarus XT21C with SST70 emitter and its excellent.

    Whoa! 😳😲 Brian, you actually reviewed Nitecore! 😁. I know, you like Olight, and they’re good, no doubt, but I am kinda a Nitecore guy. Have several Tiny Monsters, and the older P20.
    A few other small ones... These both look great. It appears the MH10S leans more towards a ‘floody’ but still has great reach. Beam patterns look great! I know what you mean about torches. I can’t explain it myself, but maybe we can establish a FA club, “Flashaholics Anonymous?” 🤔🙄😄😁😂🤣 Big thumbs up! 👍👍👍 Stay safe and Healthy! 👍😁🇺🇸

    Possibly my comment about the MH10S being my indoor emergency option, hanging from the inside of my front door because I included a dropbox image of the 4 1mm x 15mm neodymium magnets I glued into the tail recess. Perfect fit for non ferrous tail stand and very strong magnetic attachment

    I have the P20IX as my outdoor carry now, on the front left backpack strap. I like the IX for having fully tactical switches but a daily optiom mode.

    Those 21700i series batteries that power the p20i will work in all Nitecore flashlights that take that size. Use them in my mh12s.
    Purchased the intelligent battery system kit. Comes with three batteries, lantern, charger/power bank for $60 Amazon. Now I have five 21700 batteries for my mh12s. That's a year of continuous light on ultra low setting. 1500 hours per battery.

    I've had the nitecore mh12v2 for just under a year. Just got the mh12s last week. Smaller and 1800 lumins but still prefer the whiter light of the V2.
    The mh10 you have here VS the MH12 the 12 gives tail switch and forward switch.

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  3 года назад

      I was shopping the sales.... Does the tail switch work in conjunction with the forward switch like the Olights? I have the Thrunite BSS V4 and the tail switch works on its own. Not a huge fan.

    • @NikkThompson
      @NikkThompson 3 года назад +1

      @@WorkshopAddict yea the ones I got were no sale, but perfectly what I wanted.
      The mh12's, tail switch momentary on, or clicks light on. The mode button up front, cycles ultra low, low, medium, high, turbo. Hold mode button for strobe.
      So not like the olight. But my preferred way. I don't like the hold to cycle through.
      The 5000mah 21700 last forever on low, which is my daily driven mode. Usbc is nice for charging. Olight is definitely pretty sweet, but that tail switch being magnetic, doesn't work for me. I end up metal shavings all stuck in it daily. Also why I had to switch from makita/milwaukee magnetic bits to Malco, as it's impossible to clean them buggers out, Malco you pull off the 1/4-5/16 to flip the size, and when doing so fully exposes just the magnet making it effortless to clean.

      @NikkThompson 3 года назад +1

      Also to add, the nitecore mh12's use standard button 21700 cells, non proprietary. And they have a $30 kit with extra 21700 5000mah battery with a magnetic clip on charger. Granted charger is micro USB, but it comes in a nice plastic closable case, great for carrying a charged spare and charging externally. Not that 100+ hours easy of battery life needs a spare.

    can you on P20i activate 1800 power with "mode" button when mid light on? I know you can do this on P20ix model.

    I mistyped, had a brain fart, or something Brian?! 🙄😬 It is a P30 I have. Great little light by Nitecore! Runs on one 18650 battery! Not many lumens, ( 1000 or so ? ) but it has great throw. I believe it is Picatinny rail compatible as well? Peace 👍👍👍✌🏻😁🇺🇸

    Hello nice review. A question. You said that the p20i will turn on in whatever mode you had it in. Can you verify that? Some of these nightcor iseries lights will always come on in turbo with main switch. ie they have no mode memory. Then there's the nitecors that have the two programs with low available on secondary tailcap switch which is quite nice. I keep forgetting which lights do what! I had to return a powertac m5 high lumen light because the forward mode button switch is impossible to get used to. I'm typically a streamlight guy. Olight has some intuitive stuff going on with single tailcap switches too.ty

    • @Weo510
      @Weo510 3 года назад +2

      P20i - main button always turns on in high. Mode button turns on strobe when flashlight is off. MH10S and MH12S have mode memory, although MH12S let's you change between "mode memory" and "always hi" turn on modes.

    Have you ever tested Nitecore MT21C, this light is similar to Milwaukee 2113-21 with pivoting head and magnetic end.
    Thinking to get more runtime and brighter, do you think MT21C good for worklight?

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  3 года назад +1

      I have not tested it, but I don't like the Milwaukee with the pivoting head as a work light. The light is too concentrated for auto use.

    I don't know what to do. I don't know the difference between the P20i and the P10i. I initially wanted the P18, but having to take the battery out to charge it would be really annoying, and it's only got 30 minutes on turbo. If you were having to choose either the P10i or the P20i, what would you choose and why?

    • @Tony-sy7ed
      @Tony-sy7ed 3 года назад

      The p18 is an awesome little pocket light you can use everyday. These lights being reviewed could be pocketable but are a little big for that roll in my opinion. Either one would be fine to keep in a vehicle or night stand. My favorite nitecore light of that size is the p12gts. I just prefer a clicky tail switch, and it can tail stand to light up an area to use hands free if you need to have tools in your hand. It has quick access to firefly mode if you don’t need bright light right away and it’s able to have quick access to turbo bright if you need to light up a dark alleyway trying to get to your vehicle.

    Hi,
    Is it possible to turn on the flashlight without making a clicking noise?
    Because in tactical training this noise can be fatal and deliver the operator's location.

    No.
    The P20i always comes on at max when you turn it on.

    Strobe is gross 🤮
    Lumens have nothing to do with throw.
    And the battery voltage level is the coolest thing about my nitecore lights. You’re getting warmer with that dual tail switch 😉

    • @user-md3is4dq2d
      @user-md3is4dq2d 3 года назад

      Why is strobe gross

    • @Tony-sy7ed
      @Tony-sy7ed 3 года назад +1

      Strobe is a ridiculous gimmicky function of a “tactical” light. Using strobe does nothing that a quick shot of bright light to the face can’t do, except disorient yourself just as much as the person your trying to use it on. Notice I said trying to use it on. Because, usually, if you find yourself in a situation you need to use the light to defend yourself. you need to do multiple functions of the light to get to strobe and you won’t have time anyway. Or it’s a smaller button your not used to pressing and your motor skills have you reaching for the main button your used to pressing anyway, because of adrenaline. I use a lot of “tactical” lights for the repair work that I do for the ease of function. I.e cycling through different brightness modes with one hand. I have buddies in the industry that I’m in that always, inadvertently, setting off strobe because it’s programed in the cycle mode. It’s difficult to find a light these days that doesn’t have strobe, especially a Chinese made light. Really good lights like surefire and modlite don’t use strobe but your going to pay for those quality lights. As long as the program keeps the strobe function behind the scenes and have to press a separate button 3 times in a row or some other function your just not going to do on a daily basis I’m good with it. I would just prefer them to keep strobe out unless it’s for a techno dance party.

    I really can't see either light for EDC. No good as either a spotlight or as a floodlight. Both useless. Memory is a deal-breaker. Having to cycle through endless modes puts this in the toy category.

      Well there are lights with more features and power than even these nitecore lights, like anything from BLF. The sofirn SP36 has 6000 lumens for $50, but it's the size of a soda can of course, but there are smaller options at $50, that can still have double the lumens. Nitecore lights are Very nice though
