Can't beat the Sam's club dog for the money. They have a tasty all beef 1/4 lb dog with a 30 ounce drink for $1.38! No charge available toppings include Ketchup, Mustard, Relish and Sauerkraut. Sometimes they're not as hot as they should be, but when they are, they're on point!

I'm from Chicago and was glad Portillo's topped the list, for a moment, but I can't get mad that Nathan's, copying the Chicago-style dog, bested it, because, objectively, Nathan's dog is the most flavorful one on the market. Combine the "dragged through the garden" Chicago condiments with the salty, garlicky Nathan's dog, and sure enough, you have the indisputable winner. 🌭
Not every one of these places serves chili and some places don’t do cheese sauce. Portillo serves theirs Chicago style dragging it through the garden. The only way to do it how you want it is to have it plain everywhere and what fun is that.

I love Dairy Queen hot dogs. Also, Hardee's has a good hot dog. But, our favorite is the hot dogs we make at home with Bright Leaf weiners, chili and mustard, and onions sometimes. Yum!
Our local DQ had a solid homeade chili like u used to get at hs football games or little league baseball consessions....then since someone change recipe i havnt had since. Offputting sweet ketchupy too much. Otherwise chain DQ use a hormel tasting blah chili imo. Cheers
Usually the chili or slaw! For the absolutely very best non chained restaurants look up places around fairmont or clarksburg wv. There’s also a touristy spot in Lesage, Wv called Hillbilly hotdogs
DQ chili dogs are the best fast food drive thru dogs. The chili cheese pups from Krystals are good too. Five Guys should have chili for their dogs, its ridiculous they dont.
Where in the world are these "Shake Shacks"? I have never seen one. Is it related to Steak & Shake, maybe? I have seen other videos about it, but it remains a mystery. Portillo's??? What the heck is that? Never heard of it.
Julia I always look forward to your videos my favorite has to be the foot long coney at Dairy Queen. I would try those other places they aren't in my area. Have you thought about doing a comparison video on chicken sandwiches? I know most places have there own version of a chicken sandwich

@@HJF but fReal just get a bacon double cheeseburger with everything and cheese fries and put ketchup in the cheese and mix it up and dip both the burger and fries in the cheese/ketchup
I decided to try the most popular at each location because each restaurant has their own menu. This way I could compare and also share with you what makes each spot unique. DQ only has chili cheese dogs, and shake shack doesn’t have one, so it would be hard to compare apples to apple unless I got each dog plan. 🌭🤔
I haven't watched this channel in a few years because mostly I got tired of watching you and J.P. making huge sized versions of fast food at home that's mostly what I saw. I like food videos though that are food reviews or food challenge videos like Joel Hansen. I like chili cheese dogs the most without onions and I don't like sauerkraut on hot dogs or much else or coleslaw on them either and I like videos that do the best of different fast food restaurants local food in different cities like hot dogs' hamburgers and pizza mostly.

I've had hot dogs at all these places and besides the top spot I'd agree 100 percent but as we probably are both biased as your a New Yorker and I'm a Chicagoan born and raised about the top spot. I just think that a Vienna hot dog is the better tasting hot dog not necessarily what you put on it
Julia, this is the HJF i recall, please keep up the work, its a shame you and JP are not able sort things out and play together for the channel. But love this video! xo

Are ranking videos like this done in one day?? I've always been curious about how it feels at the end of day. Do you eat the entire thing or is it a one bite and save that rest for later?
I normally film them in one day. For this one I took a bite or two out of each hotdog and then ate them over the next few days. For my chicken wing video I ended up freezing a large portion and actually just finished them. Put them in the air fryer and they came back to life. Some better than others. 👏👏🤤

How can you judge seven different kinds with all different toppings? The only proper way to judge is to put the exact same toppings on each hotdog.
