Is this Custom Ex sax? CustomEx is too light a sax. Can't handle the harmonics that this mouthpiece asks for. There is an absurd difference when using the same mouthpiece on a Yamaha 62. The older, heavier 62s would respond much better than CustomEx. I've had both. But I think the sound got metallic to the extreme, losing all the harmonics. I really prefer Bobby Dukoff for metallic "Dave Koz" sound. And Claude Lakey with CustomEx. But, maybe the room dried up all the harmonics too.
