Thank you so much Tina!! I am in the same boat. I have cut back on my protein a little already. I will definitely try some of the things if not all of what you suggested!! It is frustrating when you think you're being good but the scale doesn't move.
I have been doing several of these! Definitely cutting way back on the protein. I am now looking at my plate as being divided 3 ways --- 1/3 protein, 1/3 cooked non-starchies, and 1/3 raw. (Or 1/3 protein, and the rest raw salad). I have been a VOLUME eater for a very long time, but that is really not the way I should be eating, even if its all wonderful non-starchies I am filling up on. Because, what I am finding out is that IF I slow down, chew my food, take a sip of my GGMS, maybe even set my fork down, it takes me a lot longer to finish my meal. And ... I am being mindful of my hunger/satisfied cues, which is helping. Right now I am attempting to push my plate away just shy of "satisfied", and you know what??? I find I am fine! I am not walking away from the table hungry in the least, but knowing I "could have" eaten more and still been fine. And the water thing has been a game-changer for me! I am drinking approximately 3.5 liters a day, starting right after my one cup of coffee in the morning. The little things really do add up!
Yes! Exactly! It really all does matter, these little changes. I had to really work on my “it’s on plan so I can have it” mindset! It’s really helped a lot. Yes, water - I didn’t realize how important being diligent about that was! Bless you my friend! 🥰
Sounds like a little leaning towards diet similar to plant based clean keto. If I’m focused on weight loss, I would try to keep carbs between 15-25 carbs... mostly from veggies (carrots or beans or peas, or low glycemic fruit. Then allow extra carbs a couple days a week 45 grams carbs.

It is! But we do change, so it’s just learning what works for us now. Keep going! Either way, we are taking great care of ourselves!
