That's the problem with their lazy writing process, recording all the audio a day or two before the show airs means that if one of the voice actors catches a cold then they don't have time to wait for him to recover and record the audio when he's back to sounding normal
What I love is this moment isn’t just to troll with the audience but also establishes Steven’s character

Randy Marsh is the funniest father figure on this show. He's deliberate yet completely and utter clueless at the same time.
It's rare for a show to be around this long but still be relevant and funny. Stone and Parker are brilliant.
I honestly did find it quite unfunny for a couple years. Mostly during the serialized stuff. Good the show's getting back on track though

Small thing I liked: I liked how Stan and Randy were the only ones who thought it was Token. I’ve always seen Stan as the protagonist, as the boring, ordinary, normal character. So it made total sense for Stan to think that Tolkien’s name was Token like the rest of us.
