  • In my second video of The 12 DIY Gifts of Christmas, I am showing you three different jar gift ideas for Christmas presents. I love these gifts because they are perfect for friends, neighbors and co-workers. You can give them on their own, or create a gift basket using the jar and some other fun items that go with it.
In the first gift, I use a mason jar to share a cookie recipe. All of the dry ingredients for the cookies are layered in the glass jar, and then you give that to the recipient with a card that explains what needs to be added (butter, eggs and vanilla) and the cooking specifications. I packaged it in the jar with some ribbon and bells tied on the top.
The second gift is for a delicious Buttermilk Dressing Mix. This takes several herbs and seasonings mixed together, and the directions for the recipient to add a tablespoon of the dressing mix to 1/2 cup of mayonnaise and 1/2 cup of buttermilk. This makes a great dressing for salads or a delicious dip for veggies.
My third gift idea is for a mochaccino mix. I used a glass reusable water bottle to contain the ingredients in this mix. It uses instant coffee, cocoa, sugar and powdered milk and makes a cozy, frothy drink. You can package this bottle in a little basket with a mug and some marshmallows or a little ornament.
All of these gifts can be packaged really cute, and they make the perfect simple gift that you can make for a group of people on your list this year!
