I totally disagree with him cuz no one uses that corner cutting , if u think he used that well that means hes sucks. Im 11-12 seconds i never have that problem and i Will never use that corner cutting

It’s because there’s more space in the middle area between the pieces of the tengyun. This lets the pieces move more relative to each other

I know that this video is old now but I was just doing some testing about what you were saying about the reverse cutting. What I've decided is that it's the ridge on the center piece. The ridge will stop the edge from twisting as much as on other cubes. The reason why some cubes (like the tengyun) are worse is that there is not flush contact between the center and the edge, allowing more room for twisting. Although what you are saying is correct, that alone isn't enough to make any of them actually work.
I tried this experiment on a little magic which doesn't have ridges and it worked mostly good, so I don't think that's the reason
I tested some more cubes and I was wrong, you might be on to something, I think it's not the room inside though it might be the fins on the edges, the tengyun has fins but they're tiny compared to the gts3's.

So, I ordered this cube up based on this video showing how quiet it is. I do a lot of night solves in bed next to my wife while she is falling asleep and was looking for something quiet as to not disturb her. Moving from a GTS 2 M. Really hope there is a noticeable difference.

@@tennismaster6640 if you're averaging 1-2 minutes you should go for the rs3m 2020. amazing cube, low price, amazing for begginers (also amazing for intermediate and advanced solvers but u get my point)

If you are averaging 1 to 2 minutes get faster learn cfop then get rs3m 2020 but clean it and lube it trsut me I dditn clean it nor lube it and it couldn't even corner cut 15 degrees and now that I did I can corner cut 50 degrees it's really stable with extra magnets and quite fast

I just learned intuitive F2L from one of your tutorials. Atm my execution itself is alright but it takes quite a while for me to see the pieces I need to make the pairs. Does this just take practice or is there a better way to learn to see the pieces quicker?

Considering that I love over turning cubes, this is my best cube yet.
It’s my main, but the issues you have are the exact issues I have. I don’t like any other cube that I own (including the gan air um and the cubicle pro shop Valk power m) due to the magnet strength/speed. I’m thinking of getting the gts3m but I’m happy with this cube for now

GTS3 is better, but if you don't like stickerless, don't get it. You could go for the WR M as well, if you don't like the ridges

This cube is my main, I do see that corner cutting issue, but it hasn't caused any real problems for me when I solve on it. I don't really know if all TengYuns are like that, or if I just have a really good one, I have no idea, but it is my main, and that will probably not change for a very, very long time.
I picked up one and lent it to Coach Tabe Cubing for an unboxing and review. I'm nowhere near sub 15, so this might be the cube for me. I was impressed with the Zhanchi from DaYan -- as it was such a leap of improvement over what was available then. So I'd like to see DaYan get back into the game.
Great review :) I'll have to give it a try. It would be nice if you would include where each of the magnet sets on the 356X fall in your Strength vs Speed graph though.

Wait if you mean like the turning starts slowing then just clean it out and then add lube adding lube first is not a good idea

Just a thought on the corner cutting thing, i think the gts3m likely can cut it better like that as it has rounder corner pieces than either the gan 356 x or the dayan cube, so the rounded corner slides easier into place

so, I have stared 4x4 and hoping to reach 1 min 20 sec. So on average, how long should each step take to complete within 80 seconds? My basis for dividing the steps is:-
1 .two centers and three white edges
2 .rest of the centers and the other white edge
3 .edge pairing
4 .rest as 3x3
I average about 22 sec on 3x3, if that's of any help
NotAfthab Aftab practise, you can start implementing look ahead and use your inspection time wisely and know where your second center pieces will be before you start.
for 1:20
step 1 15-25 seconds
step 2 10-20 seconds
step 3 15-25 seconds
step 4 15-25 seconds
not sure about individual steps, but about 55 up to 3x3 stage and 25 for the rest. with parity this will be hard to do since you average 22 on 3x3, so keep working on 3x3 as well!
each stage should take 20 seconds, except first two centres, that should be 10 secs

have you tried using any other lube to slow it down to fix how uncontrollable it is? I would like to know how it preforms when you use say Angstrom Compound X, or Matian.
How does this compare to the huanglong m? The huanglong m is also soft, smooth turning, has great stickerless shades, quiet. I do have the corner cutting issues with my huanglong where it catches more than my little magic. The reverse corner cutting is worse than what you show in your huanglong review. You think I should loosen it a bit?

Fran _ is you don’t average under 16 seconds then the SpeedCube doesn’t really matter. I managed to get to sub 12 with a mf3rs2

the reason you don't feel that it cornercuts that well is probably that in comparison to its super fast and smooth normal turning, cornercutting requires more effort. maybe try slowing it down with some heavier lube and then it should feel much better.

sheik in melee and don't have a main in ultimate but I like Lucina and sheik (sheik sucks though)
Yeah makes sense. Switching to shiek right when it starts is annoying but still nerfed in ultimate I think. I haven't played much sheik though.

@@tennismaster6640 since you are only a beginner, you don't need any fancy cubes, once you get more experienced you will be able to tell which cube you like so it isn't necessary to spend a lot of money for such a cube at an early stage.

do a review for the YJ YuLong budget cube. once its lubed up and tensioned its amazing. corner cuts like a boss and reverse corner cuts really well.. its only $15.50 on speed cube Australia. that's where I got it also try the GAN 356 RS budget cube

@@datboi0669 yea I use 2mm - 4mm n40 to have that nice bump and heavy feel to it. also, use REALLY good superglue cuz every week a magnet comes off and ill have to fix it. after a while doing this, the tiles become worn down and then have an uneven look to it.
