Holds 7 Gallons of fuel
7+ hour burn time
Adjustable heat output

Puts out a ton of heat
We used to put three four smudge pots in a circle on a frozen lake in Minnesota and have 20 friends ice fishing. The radiant heat that comes off of them is incredible. Plus it lights the whole area up. Been doing it for 40 years or better. They are wonderful. You get fish all night long comfortably in a sweatshirt when it's 10° out
That's awesome man, wish i was ice fishing. That sounds like fun! They do put out lots of heat! Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe.
Living in central florida back in the 70's, and 80's. They would fire these up when it was going to freeze for the Orange Groves. Today......there are no orange groves. They are all converted to subdivisions. Because of Walt Disney World, and everyone who wants to move there for that reason. Miss the smell of the orange juice plants that would be cooking the juice down for concentrate. Also the smell of the orange blossoms in the spring.........long gone.
Guess I need to finally pull the trigger, thanks for the video and smaller bank account 😳

Great video. Thanks for the review!!
I know your not in charge of the commercials but one said that the plant based "beyond steak" is "good for you". I say it's highly processed and I've heard it's actually not good for you. Furthermore why in the world is plant-based stuff costs more than meat??
But yeah iam sold on the smuge, awesome
Before California banned these , I can remember my dad getting up wee hrs in the morning and keeping those filled in the orchards to keep the temp up, then we left California in 1970 and moved here to Idaho and brought 2 of them with us, when guys would have a fun day in the winter with our snowmachine club my dad would bring those and people thought that was the coolest thing ,
Thats awesome! I love mine they work great. I burn motor oil in mine mostly. Thanks for watching! Please like & sub.
Thanks for the video.

Hope it's not galvanised like you mentioned. Thay shit will burn off on the first lighting and the fumes are pretty damn bad for you. Hopefully you meant stainless instead.
It's most definitely galvanized and your right It's not good to breath those vapors that's why I don't get really close to it. Thanks for watching! :)
Appreciate clearing that up. Thanks mate. Probably not the best product if it's galv as that only adds expense and it will start rusting right after the first burn.
@@Blxz exactly 💯 hf for the price of these things, jeezus
That's cool bud 👍
Thanks man I appreciate it! :)
Awesome! Does it stink like oil when you are running it?
nice! always need to get rid of oil
Hey man, thanks for watching! 😁
Just bought one and love it so far. My only complaint is when running on 2 holes it will occasionally quiet down like it’s about to go out then it’s like it lights up again and will through out a decent flame any ideas on what is causing that? Using diesel fuel.
I know getting just a little bit of water can make them act funny other than that, I'm not really sure, to be honest with you.
Might have to buy one 🤔
It's pretty fun to play with and man it gets hot 🔥! Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe.
awesome video brother! thank you. Great job!!!
Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe I need all the help I can get. Lol
How big a radius will it heat? If you had it going and it was 23 degrees outside would it keep a radius of 20 feet above freezing or maybe an even bigger radius of 40 feet? I have some peach trees here in S. Carolina that have started blossoming early and we always seem to have a deep freeze in the 20s for 2-3 consecutive nights (after it has been in the 70s and 80s) which always seems to kill 99.9% of the blossoms. I'm looking into smudge pots now.
I'm not sure on the radius but I know a lot of people use them in orchards for that same reason.
What was the size and weight of the box it came in? Trying to understand the shipping costs…
Shipping is free on all of our products.
What is the gauge thickness of the chimney?
Can you refill it while it is burning? Or do you need to smother it then refill and relight?
It has to be cool before you can refill it.
I refill mine while its burning all the time
So many haters, what do you expect from miserable people who sit around and eat their boogers.
Great review 👍🏻
Burn used engine oil mix with diesel
Hello, I don't understand why you have this smaller diameter tube that connects the combustion chamber with the chimney. What is his use?
It just recirculates unburned fuel to be burned, just like on the new wood stoves.
@@matthewmeltonTEAMMELTONFISHING Thanks!
It scoops hot escaping gases back to the fuel chamber. So if you are burning any kind of oil, it heats up the fuel ,reduces the viscosity, and helps form the vapor that it burns.
@@undernetjack Thanks!
What purpose does the side tube serve?
I believe it's a secondary burn tube to burn unspent fuel.
It helps get the oil up to temperature for a better burn
These used to be strictly used for keeping a young orchard warm during a frost. The fumes that come off galvanized steel such as zinc oxide which causes a whole heap of health issues including metal fume fever and renal failure. The real kicker from galv steel is the lead oxide which causes retardation in fetuses and a whole host of other growth issues for children and adults. Lead oxide stacks up in your body and causes an almost guaranteed case of brain or lung cancer. The company that originally made the smudge pot knew all of this and had warnings stamped into the chimneys. I'd throw that thing in the trash if I were you and stick to a wood fire or learn how to weld and make one out of carbon , stainless or some other inert alloy. And don't burn your damn motor oil. You may not be able to see or smell the impurities you are releasing into the air, but you're surely poisoning yourself and your neighbors. You think that stuff goes straight up and out into the sky away from you? That's not how this works. The sulfonates used in motor oil are meant to stay wet trapping the impurities inside them. People wonder why they had a stroke in their mid fifties. Because you did stupid shit without understanding the tools around you.
If we weren't using them for ice fishing, we use them to heat the block walls we were putting in for homes in no dead of winter so the mortar didn't freeze and had a chance to set up
Believe me, I know what zinc oxide can do to you. That's why you've burned the crap out of them. Burn the zinc so you don't have to worry about that. I got zinc oxide poisoning a couple of times thinking I had plenty of ventilation. It's not very fun. Thought I was going to die and a friend of mine too.
Very good comment. That's why you don't buy a smudge spot that's not made of stainless steel. And as far as the green weenies go f*** global warming and they can all go to hell which is where their headed
All I burn in mine is used motor oil and transmission fluid. I’ve been going out riding for decades. A lot of people use these. Never heard of any issues.
Keep your distance and stay upwind.
Burning a wood fire smokes and chokes you out more than these ever will.
Distance for radiant heat?
I'd say 15 ft when it's piping hot!
Thats a heater. my family used smudge pots in the 30's, 40's, 50's, into the 70's to keep the bugs off out cattle, in pasture and in barns. No flame just smoke. What you have is a heater.
Doesnt it smell like kerosene?
Not that I've been able to tell, probably because it burns so hot! Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe.
Price? Packaging? Shipping? Your review didn’t cover anything
Most people with common sense go to the company's website and see how much it cost because prices change daily. As far as packaging, just imagine all of this in a box. I'll draw you a picture if you want. Shipping should be obvious as well... its going to be sent using UPS or FedEx it's not going to be sent in an envelope. Thanks for watching!

Mine does the same. I just started using mine so I’m thinking it’s either because it’s new or there isn’t enough fuel. I’ve burned mine only 3 times so far and only keep about 2-3 gallons of diesel in it and it’ll do it now and again.

Maybe a little bit of water got into the fuel.
