sleep bow is super weak sauce, however I'm running fc5 sleep5 amd it's just fun to sleep enemies when you wanna take a break and just mess around. Some animations take long so it s pretty cool seeing the gang go-to town on monsters. I'm def gonna try the ssa build
I'm using the LBG on group hunts and I love being support role, (hunting horn user in main series) so seeing the monster go to sleep then shortly to be stunned and watching the rest of the group wail on it is very satisfying for me.
I've seen someone managing to sleep an 8* Barroth twice with the Nightshade bowgun, it'll definitely be most effective in coordinated group hunts but will at least give it and the bow a try
for bow build why not using nightshade paolumu mail (focus+2) then for leg use nighshade paolumu greaves (SSA+1 rude awakener+1) when monster sleep hit with spread lv4 (more damage from rude awakener )
Thats because its overkill lol. The bow itself isn't really meant for damage unlike the LBG. At the same time, the Nightshade Paolumu Chest isn't available to anyone that hasn't played the event yet. Bow is best used as a support build.
I may remember wrong but back in your « best poison builds » video with status sneak attack, I remember the combination of status sneak attack 2 and poison 2 to be the optimal one. So what about ssa 2 and sleep 2 now? With the Tzitzi vambraces and radobaan waist? With Focus 5, obviously thanks to the pink rathian mail. How does that sound?
Thats not possible because of current sleep gear. Sleep doesnt have the ability to give you SSA 2 and SA 2 at the moment. The best combo you have is SSA 3.

Oop I forgot that thing existed. Thanks for looking haha. Either way after testing...it doesnt really matter. You'll only sleep twice even with that set up due to the status build up update. All the pieces you use for SSA 3 will still flex for SSA 5 and you dont have to build Radobaan Coil lol.
I can't craft this bowgun or bow, can't even see them in the weapons tab . I even bought the ticket and killed a few nightshades, anyone know what's up with that?

The build im running has burst 5 wex 1 crit eye 1 and artful dodger as a quality of life it's really strong you can hit 29k dmg ults if you keep burst up for it You should prioritize burst then crit eye then wex in my opinion

Its a lot of fun. But yeah its sad its pretty weak. Poison is still for sure the meta.

wow.. thats nice combination.. a burst + wex lvl2.. this might come in handy for raw damage LBG..

i love my sleep bow when playing with others that are using other status effect weapon. i love seeing a monster going sleep, poison, and paralyzed.

Hmmm not sure. Did you try to download all assets in the settings tab?

For the lbg driftsmelt should I go for burst wex, or for critical?
It depends which element it is or which LBG it is.
