I love that detail at the bottom of the stairs where just briefly, we can see Jade's real emotions on his face and then you can see him visibly put on the mask again where he pretends to be happy and everything is okay even though Uea and King clearly know him better than anyone else in the world and can always see right through him. I love and adore their geniune friendship SO much ❤
Also, not King just letting Uea win at all of the games 😂
I didn't really expect this episode to be like this. I feel for Jade, I think his past relationship may still have an affect on him which makes him unsure and worried. I hope things resolved and not left to be.
Also i really appreciate the way Uea and king are there for him.
@-SnowStorm- I've actually been waiting for them to include a scene like this, especially in the cut RUclips version, in which they show more of Jade's past. The only other time they did was in the uncut Iqiyi version in episode one when Jade fainted(?) and they showed a flashback of him being forced to be the middleman for people that had crushes on King and Uea and forced him to pass on gifts to them. In the novel, Jade only had one "relationship" before (and I wouldn't even call it an actual relationship because they were only "together" for like a week and never even went on an official date, so Jade's never been on an actual date before) and the girl left him to go chase after a senior student. Ever since then, there were multiple times where people would pretend to be nice to him or pretend to like him just so they could use him to get close to Uea or King or his siblings, which is caused him to have super low self esteem and low expectations for people to genuinely be nice/like him without ulterior motives.
So I'm super glad they finally showed more of that hidden/inner side of him where he's not always putting on that mask of being the happy-go-lucky Jade that everyone (other than Uea and King) thinks he is.

Everyone chase Jade just to get information about King or Uea, or asked Jade to deliver their gift, it's not that jade like it being the bridge but if jade refuse them, they will start called jade rude and talk bad about him behind
King also ever accidentally leave a trauma for Jade. In school there was a girl who was in the same cluv with Jade, she almost visit Jade to his class everyday, talk about the event and club thing and King start to tease them by saying that the girl like Jade, and the tease getting worse day by day until it make that girl avoid jade even the girl didn't want to talk with jade when they still need to work together for the school event project, the girl feel disgust with Jade and later Jade found out that the reason why that girl oftenly come to jade class and talk with him is because the girl like King and Jade and King was in the same class. And one day in the valentine day, King tease the same thing toward Mai and Jade, he said he didn't want to disturb MaiJade dating, that thing really triggered Jade's trauma, he afraid Mai will hate him and avoid to talk with him like that girl too when Mai still need to work with him cause that time Jade still think that Mai like Uea

Mai is so patient, but internalizes his jealously very subtlety. Jade's jealously is somewhat disenchanting because he doesn't comprehend his own affections for Mai. Nonetheless, Mai & Jade have an interesting chemistry. King & Uea always being supportive of Jade is great, especially when King bluntly addresses Jade directly about his feelings (Everyone needs a friend like King to put a realistic perspective on certain issues 👍🏼.)

La serie es tan de la vida real jajaja uno refleja sus inseguridades del pasado y teme estropear todo o piensa que le irá igual o peor en relaciones futuras, pobre Jade ojalá y ya se animé y pueda darle rienda suelta a su amor por Mai con todo lo que conlleva (celos, romanticismo, desilusión) solamente uno así aprende a amar.

Finally, this episode was more enjoyable and structured than the last 3 combined. We finally got some back story behind why Jade is soo insecure which makes him more relatable.He's really struggling 😢.I feel for him so much, that ex boyfriend really said some horrible things that negatively shaped how Jade sees himself and approaches romantic relationships😭😭😭. Can we talk about how sweet Mai was this entire episode! So TongGus are officially a couple now❤. I still wanna know why Tong was so resistant at first though, KingUea being supportive and caring besties to Jade for the win😊, you know Mai is serious cause he came out to his whole family😮. Hoping the next three episodes keep getting better and better and that they sort out the misunderstanding of Mai being involved with Gus.
how did gus and tong a couple? i must of missed a scene i remember tong pulling gus away from jade and mi but never saw anything else about them until this scene at sports day
@Tanlawless The RUclips version is cut and alot of their scenes were cut, so them getting together didn't make make sense from that perspective. The uncut version has their development.

Las series de esta semana se unieron para hacerme llorar. Jade tiene un problema con los celos que no lo dejan ver claramente su posición en una relación, tiene que tomar confianza en lo que querrá hacer con Mai, lo están cegando de las acciones de Mai con los demás. Ame la escena dónde King y Uea le aconsejan a Jade, como padre preocupándose por su hijo, creo que es linda y me alegro que también toquen este tema en jade. Esperaré por el próximo capítulo, espero que todo se resuelva
