Excellent move! I like your concept of "framing", and passing to that rear choke is a great way to put on a quick restraint. I definitely learned something, man; appreciate it!
Samir, I have a quick question concerning the rear naked choke. How do you ensure that you apply the choke selectively to the trachea only and therefore not include the windpipe or adam's apple? I take krav maga currently and this is a very pressing issue amongst our school because nearly everyone applies it so that it could very injure the windpipe. I would greatly appreciate just some simple pointers on how to only target the trachea. Thank you very much! Great videos!!
When the elbow is in line with the chin, and the forearms are scissored the carotid arteries are targeted without pressure to the anterior line of the throat. There will be minimal pressure on the trachea.
@thatfishbreeder I have watched in utter dismay this past month so many guards fom differentclubs put on violent and misplaced chokes that have so much pressure on the front windpipe, that the ubjects are frothing. They don't give"katsu, and just leave them in a mess.If tey just watched ths video which isfree, theycould fix the negligence and liability in an instance.
Compression should be on the carotid arteries only. The centre of the neck including the trachea/windpipe and AdMs apple area. To ensure that the two arteries are compressed centre the strangle arm with elbow inline with the opponents chin. Then when compressing create a pressing downwards and scissoring action of the elbows. This ensures pressure to the sides of the neck rather than the centre.

***** Security and security related fields that I have been involved in after my first 5 years of grinding it out have always paid well. Its never boring, although many of my peers are constantly bored:) I like interacting and studying people,so security is a great platform. Tell me more about this peer counselling and what it entails for you ,training wise.
its working with people with disabilities, i suffer from depression and i like stuff that deal with what ive been through and social interaction with people. ive hated jobs where i was isolated and not interacting with people often. i didnt like tiring or stressful ones due to my condition.
30 years of applying this and teaching others to successfully apply it would make it more than theory. This has been applied over and over with great success. It is by the very fact that this is simplistic , cover, crash and arm drag to vascular restraint that makes it practical and effective. Blocking is uncertain, therefore a general structure to prepare for the chaos. Predictability creates more certainty because of distance control.
What do you mean a legal vascular restraint? You really just mean a legal choke. But how is something illegal in a self defense situation? If you are going to get beaten up and you have no choice a choke is not against the law to defend yourself. Use of force laws are important to know. Use the force only necessary to preserve your health and life and the least amount needed to stop the threat.
I like how you're teaching self control and proper technique when using these restraints
Thank you for your great videos

what type of security do you do?
my training started in january and finishes in june and then you do an internship, there is a process
I wanna see u drag somebody out bar this all self defense
would you prefer corpse garbage or tree removal
Seems a basic version of something. Controlling the attackers arm and reatraining around the neck, easier in theory. Even blocking is uncertain.
