I've always tried to find someone to teach me these little details!! I actually didn't know if it was just the natural style of the good dancers or if it was something "teachable"!! Thanks to you now I know the answer to that question!!!!
Thanks Peter, you are fantastic at explaining things . I wish I had you as a teacher, I have learnt more in 9mins of your video that watching hours of some other people on RUclips. please keep up the excellent work.
Great attention to little details that really make the dance look nice. It is the first video I came accross in youtube that explains it so good. I should say I've been searching for a while. Peter, thank you so much!
Man, what an excellent explanation! Few teachers go into this depth with explaining the body movements to actually help you do it and look good, with all the details that make a big difference. I'd always end up trying to decipher all the myriad motions happening at the same time at real-time speed in videos of people dancing, its hard!
Great lessons. Helped me tons with my upper-body styling. You should come to Singapore to give workshops -- there is a huge salsa community here and a dearth of good male styling teachers.
@peterfige -- Thanks for responding. It did cross my mind that you were speaking in the video in the sense of being a "mirror" for the viewer, but since you never explicitly acknowledged that fact during the video, that's where I got confused. I guess I'm just used to making the mental switch if an instructor is facing me (without mirroring), but perhaps other people are different....
@Big10 Very good point. I assumed everybody wants to hear about their sides, but I see that many people may be really good at switching on their own. I guess it is different in a class, where the first time may be weird, but next week everybody knows it's that way.
@Big10 :) That's because I'm trying to talk about the viewers arm. If I say "take the right" I mean your right, so every time I turn around I have to change how I refer to my arms. If I messed it up other than this that must be some missing brain capacity or lack of concentration on my side :)

Wow!!! One of the most detailed and to-the-point explanations of this move. Thanks!
These lessons are fantastic. Just what I was looking for. I love how detailed he is...
0:13 1st time slow back view
2:21 2nd time front view
3:03 Arms slow
3:47 Arms
4:10 Shoulders
5:47 Hands
6:28 Chest
He's very graceful. I have yet to see anyone dance quite like him.
So many things behind a (good) Suzie-Q. Thanks a lot!

Am I missing something? Why does he mix up "left" and "right" for so much of the video?
