I was 20 in 2001, and everyone knew who he was. We were 7 when Bad came out and 11 when Dangerous came out. Of course we knew who he was. You didn't have to be 30. In fact, I saw him in concert in 96 and there were lots of children there too.

So first of all I was 6 years old when this came out I was born in 1995. I knew EXACTLY who Michael Jackson was and in fact he was my favorite artist. I also went to go see Janet Jackson that same year and I was only 6 and was VERY aware of Michael and his family and their legacy. It’s literally what I grew up on . My God, have these reporters not heard of the internet? Or music videos? Just b/c Michael didn't make an album for 6 years doesn't mean that young people don't know who he is/was. I'm a pre-school teacher and my kids know and love Michael, and it wasn't even my doing! Their parents, a lot of them who are in their 30s, and were little kids when Thriller was out, are introducing their kids to Michael NOW. I've loved him since I Want You Back (when I was 3), and my grand-niece who is now 3 is certainly gonna know who he is. Heck, she watches the J5 cartoon w/ my brother! This is why Michael will never truly be gone. He'll live forever as long as the fans carry him on generation after generation. Remember, it's up to us to let the kids know who was the greatest entertainer of ALL TIME!

I was 20 in 2001, and everyone knew who he was. We were 7 when Bad came out and 11 when Dangerous came out. Of course we knew who he was. You didn't have to be 30. In fact, I saw him in concert in 96 and there were lots of children there too.

So first of all I was 6 years old when this came out I was born in 1995. I knew EXACTLY who Michael Jackson was and in fact he was my favorite artist. I also went to go see Janet Jackson that same year and I was only 6 and was VERY aware of Michael and his family and their legacy. It’s literally what I grew up on .
