- The DS7 Crossback is aimed at being an alternative to the BMW X1, BMW X3, Audi Q3, Jaguar F-Pace and Range Rover Evoque. Can this relatively new brand really compete with the long established premium end of the market. I take you on a tour of the exterior of the car, talk about practicality, how much does the DS7 Crossback range cost, the driving experience of the DS7 and of course the technology.
DS is the premium automobile marque, part of Groupe PSA. The DS was first announced at the beginning of 2009 by Citroën as a premium sub-brand applied to certain of its models, running in parallel with its mainstream brand. DS can be an abbreviation of Different Spirit or Distinctive Series.

One of the best reviews I've watched about the DS7. I currently have a DS5 and love it and I think in time the DS7 will be a worthy replacement.
Thank you I’m so pleased you enjoyed it 😊. A few generations on and I could see the DS7 being a true competitor to Audi and BMW. There are certainly some lessons to be learnt from the current generation but a really good start In what is basically a new model

It certainly stands out and for a 1st car in this class DS have done very well. Not as sporty as the BMW or Audi but for comfort it’s up there
Hi. Just spotted this great review, very nicely done.
I purchased the DS7 crossback Prestige, last year. Gotta say its a really great SUV. It has features that you will only find on far more expensive Mercs, Audis or BMWs. The little touches that make this likeble... The clock timepiece that folds and unfolds when the start/stop turned on or off( incidently, also found in some Lexus).
A light that comes on from inside the central opening console... who on earth else has put a light inside this?

Adaptive headlamps that change angle when cornering and turn to High beam on a dark road, but switch back to low beam when it detects on coming traffic!

Thanks for the great review. This car has gone under the radar. Swopped my Audi S-line A4 for a DS 7 prestige and I am loving it, the ride and interior features are great. PS DS have now put covers on the fake exhausts, looks so much better.
It is a very good vehicle and certainly better value for money. It does not have the performance of the higher spec audi's but like for like I am sure this is great
The F Pace and the X3 are in competition with the Q5 from Audi, not the Q3. That said, the DS7 is definitely a nice car :)
kevin landos it is a really good car, the only thing which lets it down is the driving dynamic of the car is not as good when you are pushing on but that being said most people won’t be and will just be driving from A to B, sitting in traffic, shopping and not taking it for a spirited drive
Good review, but you should have mentioned said-feature is available in the higher spec models each time you had an issue. For example, you said it didn't have an electric boot, and just stopped there. When it does (in higher spec versions).

and what engine was this?
For the money you can better buy a Citroen C5 Aircross which is more refined, gives more space and a more comfortable ride.
