Not that I don't know the trick to keep that little circle, but I'm not consistent in throwing the ball every time. Not the same speed, not the same curve....I don't know anymore what to do to throw an excellent a bit more often. 😓

I am trying to get best friends with her to trade, but since the shiny isn't in her dex, it'll cost a ton of stardust, and since I live in a small city in Arkansas, stardust grinding is hell.
I could try and get a pokemon to die in a gym, buy another remote raid pass, Kill a aggron, get its mega candys Boom All Rock Typed Moved Mega-Aggron (Plus Aggron is a living tank so yeah)

I've gotten such bad luck with this its unreal. I have one 98 but out of the 9 or so raids I've done, 6 of them have been utter scams as people have backed out mid match. Currently trying to get my passes back from Niantic support, they really need a better system in place.

Technically, yveltal is a Flying type, meaning mega evolving Aerodactyl can make sure you get the extra xl candy's and do the best damage
You don't need to mega evolve a dark type for raids to get the extra candy. Just need a mega active
You need the same type for the XL bonus, the candy bonus comes from any mega but the XL one doesn’t
