it's a speedrun their supposed to do it unusually fast and dont feel stupid. First time I did this it took me an entire day, and getting nuked and killed allong the way. Now this mission seems just so... easy to me. Incredibly easy... Once you become good at Starcraft you really cant forget how to play it and all the little tricks, unit abilities and hotkeys. You just keep getting better and faster, like a well oiled machine
I'd like to know the same thing. Also noticed how the SCV had built the CC and the extractor in the middle of the map? This speedrun seems to be based on few in-game bugs. It's still impressive and pretty fun though. :-)
@@imofage3947 Sounds legit. Although one would imagine that certain bugs might have been fixed later on. I'm curious which version of Starcraft it is. I'm not sure, but I think that most of such bugs were fixed in BW patch 1.6, weren't they?
@@poiuyt975 I wouldn't know. But Speedrunners commonly shop around for specific version releases and languages to eek out a small advantage. Most RPG console games tend to get speedruns on the Japanese releases because of fewer pages of text boxes.
I’m amazed by all the strategy we should have been used to clear the level. How did y’all even come out with it?! I almost smashed my computer after failing thousand times
Nuke damage is 500 or 2/3 of total HP, whichever is greater (the second is greater for all buildings with more than 750 of total health). I am not sure if it depends on armor class (i.e. if it's less for small and medium units). Either way, this means that two nukes kill absolutely any building, even the Overmind and buildings with 100,000 HP in custom maps.
This games design is ridiculous compared to what they did in Warcraft 3, you cant even micro units in this game cause they die so easily, such a frustrating game that i don't plan on finishing.
Just recently started and finished this campaign, but honestly, I'm enjoying Starcraft just as much as I enjoyed Warcraft 3 on hard mode too. It's definitely a quicker game and has alot more emphasis on what army you build rather than what units you have. Overall, there's just alot more things to look out for than in Warcraft 3.
Blizzard watching this be like
That's illegal
woah. I feel like an idiot. I've spent 3 hours on this level not knowing I could've done this all along..

That was really good. But wasn't that a glitch to get the CC that close to the minerals? 0:13

@@poiuyt975 Speedrunners always approve of using bugs. They consider them intentional features of the game.

@@imofage3947 Wow. I guess that in speedrunning one needs every advantage they can get. :-)
StarCraft's biggest weakness: Corners

What I did was build large army, lots of bunkers tanks turrets.. proceed slowly and eliminated them all .. takes an hour...
And it's fun that way too.
That some amazing nuke strike
Well done commander.
Nice man, just nice.
Wow that's unbelievable...
this one was really good
Man, and what about 500 hp nuke damage? Ion cannon have 2000 hp.
different dmg for buldings i belive?

@@anon_9221 oh, thank you for your answer. It's interesting
Nuclear strike dmg is 500. But not 1000. And many bugs...
no cheat? you're so funny.
Cheating is different from glitch and bug you moron!
Hack
No

I know this is old but I just had to say
Starcraft > warcraft.

It is because unlike warcraft 3 you are supposed to do more then stare at a fight
And sc2 isn't any better😂
