Dear Emily, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am a Mum of a cute 10-months old baby girl and your vlogs have helped us with breastfeeding, weaning or other baby questions/issues. Your smiley approach showed me that it can be a lot of fun and most parents deal with the same issues. I feel like I can always look up a topic to find some guidance and information from you. Thank you!!!! Keep up the good work. Martina

For curly hair - wide tooth comb (brushes and fine tooth combs damage curls and make them very frizzy), leave in conditioner is great!

  • @CurlyProverbz
    @CurlyProverbz 6 лет назад +17

Trust me when I say you need to use Giovanni direct leave in conditioner it's fab!! Detangle when he is in the shower I recommend Giovanni deeper moisture conditioner in the shower. Once detangled and conditioned add a small amount of leave in and when it dries his hair will look fab!

Hi Emily! The best tip for curly hair is to not brush out the curls, but rather, finger comb the curls when it is still wet/damp. The curls follow their natural pattern and last much longer. Love your channel and videos! ❤️

I recently bought the "Baby to Love Easy Up" seat from Amazon.es for my youngest and it's great. You can attach it to any chair with its adjustable straps, it's made of soft material, no hard plastic to damage your chair, it can be wiped clean as it's mostly waterproof, you can strap the baby down or not, he can rest his feet comfortably on the chair underneath... And it was very cheap! And it can be folded down for storage or eating out. It has been fantastic for us, great find xx

My daughter is 15 months old. Nappy changing is the hardest she runs away. The pampers pull ups helps. Bepanthan nappy cream is the best. My little girl had a bad nappy rash it helped it heal quickly. I love calpol it helps with teething. My daughter loves textured books. Nice video. I'm a new subscriber.

Emily I have curls (a mop top of ringlets as a child) and my boys have baby curls. If you brush through his curls when wet after the bath, and then separate them a bit with your fingers, that should define them. Just don't brush them when dry (that will only make them frizzy), best way to revive curls is to spritz them with a spray bottle of water, and run a wider tooth comb through them. You could use a spritz of your detangle spray on the ends then as well :)

I went back and just re-watched this video as my little one is turning 1 year old next week (eeek!). My recommendation for sippy cups would be the Munchkin Miracle 360 cups. I only just got them last week and didn't know how long he would take to get used to it. But he's doing great and knows how to drink out of them already. Plus they don't leak either!

As for booster seats we HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the Tripp Trapp chair - we use them as both a high chair (with a harness) and as a kids chair - thy're a great investment as they can go on to be used for adults. They are adjustable for ANY age. They are so good looking too.

Love his little curls! Hair dresser advice, only comb it when it’s wet, if u comb curly hair dry it will fluff up...not sure if u want to use products or anything yet...you can use alittle curl styling cream or something...even if you don’t use product...after combing it when it’s wet you can even twirl the curls with your finger and then just let it dry...it will dry in little ringlets...hope that helps! My little man had curls too! Xoxo

I just switch to only conditioner on some days to keep my baby’s curls longer. I don’t brush it unless it’s tangly. Brushing it takes the curls out and makes it poofy.

    Hey Emily:)
You're not supposed to brush curly hair. If you don't want to get it poofie.
I'm a curly haired girl my self. And I only brush it after washing it wen it is still damp/wet.
When I was a toddler my mum used to spray leave in conditioner in my hair till it was damp an than brush it.
That way the curls always look defined
(Please ignore my bad English writing. I'm German)

Emily, in regards to the toothpaste, I think you might have mistaken “most fluoride” for the least fluoride. Here in Australia we aren’t supposed to use toothpaste until our child turns 2, and even then we have to choose low-fluoride toothpaste.

I love my bumbo as a booster/high chair. I have never had a proper high chair coz I have no room in my dinning room so I just used a bumbo multi seat. I've been using it with the foam insert coz my baby was still small but as she grows bigger, I can take off the foam part so she can use that till she's 3 years old.

Love this video! Your tips will come in handy in 3 months :) about Jackson’s hair, only comb it thru when it’s wet, otherwise you’ll damage his hair. Oooh! Great products. Pampers pull ups are amazing! My favourites are Ellas and Organix snacks (lots of good dairy and soya free options - LO is allergic). I’ve found munchkin click lock sippy cups great, they’re the only ones that haven’t leaked everywhere when she’s thrown them. Jojo maman bebe do a sleepsuit which works well for my daughter as it gives her more freedom and movement than a sleep sack. Nuby do a bottle leash thing which is great if your baby likes to throw their bottle on the floor.

Love this video! Do you have an updated routine for Jackson? My 16month old daughter seems to be out of routine since Christmas and I think maybe I need to change it as she's older now xx

Jackson's hair is so nice! My 6 week old has cradle cap so unfortunately her top hair is gone (but slowly growing back), but she's got some beautiful dark hair in the back and I'm hoping it curls like Jackson's has!

Shea moisture is good for curls but the curly hair method would be fine.

The green strawcup from Munchkin definitely is one of our favourites since Asiya is 6 months old. I bought exactly the same out of impulse, but it turns out to be our best one !
Asiya knocks down blocktowers as well now. She's 10 months now, but loves blocks since she was 7 months old. So blocks of any kind are definitely a must have. As are books. Especially with textures or flaps.
We live in a busy city, so we have to travel a lot with public transport, so our baby carrier from Tula really comes in handy (strollers in trains and busses give such a big headache!).
And she's standing and trying to walk around now so edges of any kind are favourite :) Hope she will be as good as Jackson soon ! She loves watching him too ... either Watching your vids, Peppa pig or hiho kids (especially when they eat, it helps her too eat too).

I don't understand the thumbs down??? Emily is great!! Are these just trolls or something? I notice them on lots of channels that I watch. Thumbs down in the first hour or so that the video is live.

Coming to this a bit late but I'd recommend looking up the Curly hair method. There are a list of products (silicone free) that break down and weigh down curls and there are also a list of products to use that dont. Loads of no nos - like brushing hair when dry etc. Really changed my daughter's curly mop. :D Love your videos as always. I dont know how you manage 3. I struggle with one! :)
