small tip for basement Trapper - don't destroy the shack pallet, trap it on the inside and then there is only 1 entrance.

That leaves only one enterance for the trapper though which can give enough time to wiggle out if you have to go around. For that reason alone it actually better to break the pallet.

@@charliewright468 the thing is when using agitation and even iron grasp with it people overestimate how far they can actually carry a survivor. You can keep shack pallet up if you want. It's not a bad idea. It just may bite you in the ass unless it's in the back doorway. If pallet is in the back I think it's not a bad idea to instead trap it. I usually don't break pallets in general as trapper and instead trap them. That's just me though

I used to do this tactic agains survivors but I would also close hatch and place traps on the exit gates. Still don’t feel bad suffering builds character.

I love Crotis Prenn asylum because of the the main building, you can do some sneaky stuff there especially with silent traps. If I tell you guys the secrets it will be ruined, so you go find out what it for yourself. Please don’t tell anyone though, it’s a secret to everyone.
This is the most satisfying way to play trapper. I spent New Year's doing it and I've become a basement connoisseur
Disagree, it's much more satisfying to place actually smart traps. There's even one in basement that I rarely see Trappers use. Ones that aren't in doorways, windows, and pallets are the most risk/reward type traps. And basement Trapper falls into all three of the boring traps in one fell swoop.

Plus you can also place traps on the corner of the stairs, at the top of the stairs, and right around the basement hooks too :P

I find Starstruck works better than mad grit, and use Trapper bag. Instead of spending time trapping at the start, get your down, carry to basement, then place all your traps in a web around basement. The Starstruck gives you time as people are scared to save when exposed.
But there's literally an offering for the basement to spawn in shack.

There is an add on that allow trapper to walk through traps? Well that makes my play style against trapper a little complicated. They take my ability to break traps away, now they let trapper just walk through. I will never catch a break.

i tried out this build modified and i got consistent 3ks and 4ks… didnt realize how broken basement trapper is. also it was funny with the last survivor because the brown add-on didnt ever get value so i would just walk through all my shack traps and they thought i was hacking.

All ive faced is trappers, demos, and executioners today. Atleast 3 of each
Noooooo, you trapper noob! You don't break shack pallet when they throw it down , you trap it from the outside , basement Trapper is all about being evil
You can do that, but it often backfires because a strong survivor can abuse the infinite pallet
@@May-gr8bp they can't if you trap it since they can't deadhard through it anymore. They are pretty much stuck if pallet is trapped
@@blacksuitedsonic yea, because they can't disarm the window or the pallet traps from the outside. But if someone is INSIDE the shack, they can disarm them, and then you're suddenly forced to break the shack pallet, which gives survivors lots of distance (Unless you're blight or nurse, where it doesn't matter)
