best theme in the trial for me idk what the hell zun put in this theme but my god is it working full version released and this theme is still my favorite... though i like chiyari's theme and zanmu's theme as well!

This theme is really good, but honestly it's probably pretty low on my list of favorite Marisa themes. It definitely has Oriental Dark Flight beat, at least.
It was never really absent, given tracks like Jelly Stone, Unlocated Hell and Banditry Technology use the DDC guitars (can't think of specific examples in LoLK or substantial examples in HSiFS).
I love how Zun still uses the same looking green bolt shot from the early windows touhou games.

the intro sounds really good, i still don't understand how the spirits and beast spirits work, like what does freezing them do???
you activate them
when you defeat an activated ghost, you send an animal spirit to the other player, depending on how far you were from the ghost
their hp gets cut dramatically, and when you shoot them when activated it sends the spirit to the other side (+ a character-dependent EX attack)
freezing them, you can defeat them far easier than when you don't freeze them.
